Question for Chrysmela earring backs owners

I have a question for anyone who also has the Chrysmela earring backs. I noticed that I can actually pull the backs along the post, until they get to the notch. Is that normal? Once they get to the notch, they can't be pulled further, but if I've pushed them farther than the notch onto my earlobe, I can pull them backwards if I try. Curious as to whether this is typical among Chrysmelas. thank you!

Any earring clasp should sit in the groove as it is harder to gain the momentum when a hair brush etc hits the clasp and you loose an earring.
If you need to hold it tighter (most people shouldnt because they get gangrene) then have a jeweler file in another groove.

This is an older question but I just bought a pair and love them. I also can pull them back to the notch but not beyond. I guess it’s normal. Also the la pousette backs do the same thing.

My Chrysmela's do that too and its totally fine. My earlobes are thin, so I like to/need to push my earring backs past the notch in order for the earring to sit flush on my earlobe.

Saaame. Sometimes I feel like my earlobes may be getting too smooshed. But the chrysmelas are surprisingly comfortable and don't actually bother my ears at all!

Me too! They seem to tighten up over the course of the day (ratcheting up the post, towards the ear). I can pull them backwards until the notch, as you observed, but it does take effort to do so on my daily-wear studs. If your posts are on the thinner side of the size range that Chrysmela recommends (0.6 - 1.1mm), perhaps they may slide on the post with less resistance.
