Hi all,
OK, it is coming down to the final decision (the metal for the setting). I am debating the pros and cons of white gold vs. platinum. The difference is $200 (not a lot) but I am already a little over budget, so I guess every dollar counts!
The question is: My girlfriend is a redhead with very fair (and very sensitive) skin. Things like certain sunscreen and frangranced lotions can cause her to break out. I did give her a white gold necklace (I believe it was an 18ct white chain and 18ct white pendant) and she wears it daily with no problems as far as skin reaction. Would it be safe to assume, in this case, that she would have no problem with a 14ct ring that she would wear daily?
Are there any women (or guys) out there with very sensitive skin who have either had a problem (or had no problem) with a white gold ring?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, as the jewler is awaiting my decision.
Thanks so much!!!!
