Question for Adoptees

Since finding David''s sister, I''ve been helping my sister find the birth mother of a friend. We DON''T know for sure who the lady is yet, But, in doing some searching, I''m finding some "not so great" things about a few of the ladies. They''re things that I would not want to know about my mother. But, my mother raised and nurtured me.

My question is: Would you want to know these things about your birth mother or family? Would you want to know EVERYTHING that was found out about them or not? What kind of expectations would/did you have?
