Question concerning prong sizing and mm of diamond

1. Can most band have prongs put in? I am looking at eternity bands, can prongs be put in to hold a diamond or do they have to be special eternity bands?

2. There is an eternity band I have my eye on, it holds a 10 mm diamond, mine is roughly 9.4 mm.
Will that work? Can the prongs be adjusted or new prongs put in?

"Eternity" means diamonds are set all the way around the finger. Maybe you mean a "solitaire" ring with 1 diamond on the top?

A ring built for 10mm may be able to be adapted to 9.4mm, but the design may not allow it. Any photos? Links? There is an independent custom shop where my office is located with a very good team of craftsman capable of making just about anything. I can supply contact info for them, but I would not be involved other than putting you together. There are many choices that will evolve for you unless you live in a very rural area.
