Question about wedding band

I am considering getting a band with prong set diamonds to go with my 3 oval diamond ring. The stone color in my e-ring are D for the center and E for the sides. Most of the bands I have seen so far are G or H colored diamonds. Do you think this will be a problem sitting next to my D & E''s?

I am looking at shared prong eternity bands at Dimend Scaasi. They use F color, VS2, ideal cut stones. I think that would be a better bet for you. In my case, I will have an H diamond and wondered if the F color eternity band stones would match. I was told that my H will face up very white because it is an excellent cut. Momothree posted her shared prong band from Dimend Scassi on one of my threads. I think it is on Rocky Talk and titled "Dimend Scaasi".

I would stick with similar graded stones for the eternity band. Have you checked out the bands from Facets? I know they use colorless grades a lot....www.thefacetscollection.com

Even when stock rings at the stores are in G-H color (as most of them seem to be), you can usually order them in the diamond specs you want. (You would probably need to order your size anyway.)

My center stone is a recent upgrade and it is a J-color. It went in to the setting of my same ring with g-h side stones, as are my matching band. YOu can only see the slightest different in bright sunlight AND when my rings have just been pro. cleaned. I think you would be fine to use that band. Can you get and return if you are not happy??

My e-ring diamond is a D and I am worried about the same thing. I just ordered my w-band yesterday and it will have F diamonds in it. I think staying in the colorless range with a D is a good idea, if you never want to see any difference.

Thanks for the opinions. I am also having trouble (browsing on line and one quick visit at a mall jewelry shop) finding a band that matches my ring. When I talked to the girl in the jewelry store (not same place ring was purchased) she told me when you get into 2-3ct 3 stone rings, you usually have to have a band made to fit it, as the setting doesn''t allow a band to sit flush. I tried a few on that had the dips to accomodate and I found it was true.

Does anyone have any ideas of a matching band idea for a 3 oval ring, total carat wt of 1.87?

I don''t have a pic (my digital camera is out of commission), but the center stone is 1.09 and the two sides are .34 each. The setting is standard 3 stone setting. It is platinum casting four prong. The setting curves out enough that a regular band leaves a gap between the 2 rings on the sides.

I think that is beautiful. I doesn''t even need to be eternity, I would be fine with a five stone. My problem is that those rings don''t sit flush with my setting. I wonder if I will have to have one custom fit. If so, is that very expensive?

In regards to flushfit- if your setting is not high enough to allow a w-band to sit flush and that is important to you, then you might want to have a band made that will fit perfectly. I dont know how much of a space there will be if you go with a non-flush fit, but if it bothers you you can always have a spacer made too. The only potential problem is that the rings may rub against eachother and cause the settings to lose their integrity...I know some people have had problems like this with eternity bands in the past...
As far as the ring itself, I love the eternity with the round stones to go with your oval ring. So pretty!

You know, with a three stone I wouldn''t be that concerned about it fitting flush. I sort of like to see both rings rather than one big mass of diamonds. But that''s just me!
