Question about setting

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have a plat solitare whiteflash setting for my egagement ring and for the last couple of months I have noticed that the x prong area that holds the diamond up has been rubbing off. I have a pave style diamond band that I typically wear next to it but have stopped because I am concerned about the egagement ring. The x part has been getting really thin. Is it common for the plat to wear out like that?

I don''t own a setting like you are describing but I would call WF and let them know what''s going on. I don''t think metal should be disappearing and you should be able to wear both of your rings without worry. The folks at WF will surely be able to help you.

Do the diamonds on the pave touch the platinum on your xprong, diamonds will wear platinum down if it is rubbing against it.
