my (14k white gold) wedding band is pretty scratched up compared to my new reset e-ring. will rhodium plating make it look more shiny - fill in some of the scuffs or will plating just make it whiter - but still dull?

thanks!

It is just a plating, will not fill up scratches. So maybe get a polish too?

As Stone mentioned, the best course of action is to get it plated and polished. That will take care of lighter surface scratches and restore the shine.

You should have it cleaned, polished, and plated for the best effect. Normally they won''t plate without doing that, as the plating isn''t as effective on non-polished and clean surfaces.
