It is simply a matter of personal preference, the height of the prongs will not make a noticeable difference in the visual performance of the diamond.
 
Hi tac1130 - I think if you set a RB high in a setting it will look larger. That said, I specifically asked for my RB set low in a 6 prong setting as I don''t really like the look of a stone set too high. I also work in research lab and pulling gloves on and off countless times a day helped influence the decision too!
 
The beauty of the stone (sparkle) is from the cut and not the height of the setting. A higher setting is more likely to cause you to hit your ring on things. I set mine really low because I thought it would protect the stone better.
