Hello everyone
I''ve been diligently reading many old posts here on PS to learn about diamonds and i feel pretty confident with my knowledge now! But now i''m trying to do some research on settings. I know my girlfriend has mentioned she would love small side diamonds. Now my question is in regards to these small diamonds... What EXACTLY is the definition of a pavé diamond? Just a very small diamond? Its looking like my center stone will be in the 1.5-1.8 carat range, and I want the side stones to compliment it, but i don''t want them to be so small as to look ''dinky''
I''ve seen many pictures of some of the beautiful pavé rings people have gotten over the years here... but for some reason a single row of ''small'' pave diamonds just doesn''t do it for me. Makes the ring seem too thin (just a personal preference!) i saw a beautiful ring with 3 rows, but that makes the ring to ''chubby'' for my tastes... so i''m thinking 2 rows of pave or one row of slightly larger diamonds... but i can''t find any pics of these types of rings
So I was wondering if anyone had a link to a site or could post a picture with something like this? (Have i confused you enough??)
I also have thought about custom designing the ring with someone like whiteflash, but I guess right now i''m just still looking for ideas!! Please help a lost ''ol soul in his journey to find the perfect setting!
