Question about girdle

Newbie. My first post.

My question is does the girdle affect the overall characteristics of a diamond? I read that the ideal girdle should be in the thin - medium - slightly thick range. For example http://www.bluenile.com/diamonds_details.asp?__fun_frm=i&track=btntext_viewselect&elem=img&pid=LD01230434&filter_id=0

The girdle for this is Slightly thick to thick. Do I need to be concerned? Will I need to care about it if the cut is Ideal AGS0?

No need to be concerned. Blue Nile have or had a bug in their software translating AGS girdle percentages to words.

The girdle above would be thn - slthk, not slthk - thk by AGS's spec.

Have a look at a few of their AGS stones and you'll see some with exactly the same %'s get different descriptions.
