Question about cathedral/basket settings

HI... just wondering... For those of you with cathedral/basket settings (sometimes called semi bezel), can you see your full diamond through the profile of the ring, including the bottom tip? Or is the diamond set lower so that the very bottom tip of the diamond is not visible?

It really does depend greatly on the design of the ring, there are a lot of variations to all rings styles.
