I have a complicated question....I hope someone can help me.

I bought a sidestone from a jewelry store and paid waaaay too much (I found the exact same stone online for 700 less). The store has no returns, but I can exchange for store credit. So, I basically want them to make me a 1500 dollar, so I can exchange the stone for it.

Problem is, I don''t trust them to set the actual stones I have. Is there a way I can have them pre-make me a setting without them having the stones, so I can get the setting from them, and have someone else set the stones?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks,
Terry

I wonder whether the better use of your money is to just keep the side stone and chalk it up to a learning experience? I suggest this because if the price for the setting is too much as well, then you have not actually gained anything, and also if you do not trust them to set your stones, then I personally would not trust the quality of the good they would produce anyways.

FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU; FOOL ME TWICE, SHAME ON ME

Think about this old saying. Consider it and as dreamer suggested, consider it a lesson learned. You won''t be the first one to make a mistake.
