Hello all,
I am a long time lurker and this is my first post. I have spent considerable time learning about princess cuts from this website. However, this particular diamond has me stumped. The link is as follows:

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4461/

I was hoping that someone could please answer a couple of questions.
1) My first concern was the disparity between the table% and the depth%. I was hoping for some opinions.
2) The clarity is also somewhat low...with the fluorescence listed as medium. Could this mean clouds? Would I be best served to ask GOG if the diamond is eye-clean?

I thank you very much for any help you can provide.

That stone is gorgeous. I wouldn''t call VS2 "low" especially with that tiny dot in the center. The smaller table is a personal preference. Since GOG has a few in that size range why don''t you call them (when they are back from vacation) and ask for their recommendation and a visual description. They will be very honest about the inclusions. When they offer the Lifetime Policy it means they will have no problem selling this stone should you want to trade up someday.

Thanks for the prompt reply...I really appreciate it. I have emailed them and am eagerly awaiting a reply...and will give them a call asap...

I think I am confusing clarity with the florescence...the clarity is definitely good...the GEMEX light performance report seems to indicate its pretty bright...will update this post as soon as I hear back...

Thanks again.

This is a beautiful diamond that I actually recommended to another PSer in a different thread (he did not seem to be interested in it though). A lot of the princesses on GOG have very small tables, and this appears not to be a problem because they have AGS ideal light performance and sparkle like mad. A VS2 is virtually guaranteed eye clean (1/100 people can see a VS2 inclusion). Medium blue fluro is a great thing in this diamond because it will make the I color look whiter. Fluoro in general is a personal preference, but it can be a great advantage with lower colors.

1) My first concern was the disparity between the table% and the depth%. I was hoping for some opinions. That should be fine, a smaller table can mean the diamond could lend itself to a little extra fire if the lighting is right.
2) The clarity is also somewhat low...with the fluorescence listed as medium. Could this mean clouds? Would I be best served to ask GOG if the diamond is eye-clean? There are no clouds listed for the clarity grade, so no worries, also medium blue fluorescence won't make the diamond look cloudy - no worries either. VS2 clarity should be eyeclean but it never hurts to check. I have known a couple of posters a few months back with VS2 which weren't eyeclean to them - rare but it has happened.

I thank you very much for any help you can provide.
