Hi all, this forum has been very helpful for me so far. I''ve been studying diligently for a few weeks now. Cut, Carats and overall value has been my main focus. I''m thankful that this forum is here, who knows what mall store I could have ended up at.


I just have a couple of questions on the above diamond:


1. I don''t really want a J color stone, but with fluorescence the price is very difficult to resist. Will the fluorescence on this stone give me enough of a color boost for it to be colorless to a layman?

2. The BN rep told me "The stone is eye clean, crystal is not visible with the naked eye". Can anyone give me some positive or negative insight? I have attached the Gia ''Reference Diagram'', it looks like there is a crystal dead in the center.

3. I think this is a good price, is there anything else I am missing?


Thanks to any help, I realize that these questions are asked a lot, but each diamond is unique and its a large investment. After I purchase I will post some pictures/reactions to help give back to this community.

A J is never going to look the same as a colorless stone IMO, it will be creamier. But that being said, most people's stones are not nearly as beautifully cut AND are probably lower color grades to begin with, so this stone WILL outshine 90% of stones out there. The fluoro will probably help a bit, but it won't turn it into a D.

So unless you are trying to trick someone into thinking it's colorless, you should be fine. And with the strong blue just make sure it doesn't negatively affect the diamond. It's rare, but it happens. It can make it look milky or hazy.

Make sure you an the BN rep have the same definition of eyeclean. And then if they say it is, it likely is.

Hi rocketships - if it helps, I have an ideal cut K colour. I wouldn''t be worried too much about a J, but thats me.

Not too big at all imo - for reference, my finger is same size, so a 1.5 wouldn''t look a whole lot bigger than my ring you saw (which, btw thankyou for the kind comments)
