q on excel diamonds

hi everyone,
I found the perfect setting that I want to get from excel diamonds in NYC. I was looking at the site, but it seems like the diamonds they sell are pretty expensive. Does anyone in here have any experience with them or know if they are over prices?

Im looking to get it fairly soon b/c I want to propose towards the end of august. thanks a lot

They are a reputable company and carry at least some well cut diamonds. But can you tell me what setting it is, because it might be available elsewhere?

Okay, off hand I don't know of other sources for that setting. Some of us have replicas of the Tiffany solitaire setting that I think are better than the one at Excel, and I wanted to be sure that wasn't the one you are looking at.

There is nothing wrong with looking at Excel's stones, but you can also buy a diamond elsewhere and still have them set your diamond. I'd see what they have and then come here and see what people can find at various PriceScope vendors and compare the prices.
