Nick Wallenda is going to attempt to walk across the Grand Canyou without any safety net, or tethers. It is on NOW on the discovery channel !!!!!!! Same guy who walked across Niagra Falls.

Turns out he wasn't given permission to actually cross the Grand Canyon, so he's at a different location nearby.

Oh thank you for that good news... I tried to watch it, but I just couldn't! I was able to get as far as him mounting the wire, then I just had to stop! I'm so glad he crossed safely!!

I'd guess they'd stop broadcasting the fall, but continue recording it and zoom in on him as he 'landed'.

BTW, there is a wonderful documentary film, Man on Wire.
A French man sneaked up the WTC in NY and strung a wire between the two towers and walked the wire with no safety harness.

The soundtrack uses the hauntingly beautiful piano music of Erik Satie.
Wonderful film.

Yes, I am aware of his heritage, but am I the only one who thinks putting his young children through this is cruel?

I will have to look but there was an article about how distraught his young son was about his father doing this and how he was dreading it.

I think that the whole thing is INSANE, and I really can't understand it. I didn't know that his son was distraught over it. I guess it's kind of selfish if you think about it.
