purchasing from pearlmans... questions..

anyone on here purchase from pearlmans before? anyone know if they can see the diamond in person before purchasing incase they were doing the transaction over the phone? pearlmans is far away from me.. and im going to see what they have to offer. i like how they are highly recommended and i wont have to pay sales tax. i did however want to see the diamond in person before purchasing anyone do that with them?

i know they can provide idealscope, certification and pictures but its something else to see the actual diamond in person.

I''ve purchased from Pearlmans several times. I''m sure they would send you the stone to look at and inspect in person.

Most places will send it out for you to inspect. Either by paying for it (with a refund available) or a deposit on it. Depends on the dealer.

We bought my engagement ring from Pearlman''s. Bill sent the stone and sample setting to us. We had it for a few days, had it appraised, and then sent the stone back (overnight -- required method by Pearlmans). I believe FI either left a credit card on file (maybe there was a hold for the amount of the setting and stone), or paid for the stone outright before it was shipped to us. We paid for the shipping on the way back.
