Purchasing a showroom Tacori setting

Hello everyone. Here's the scenario. I have purchased a stone from another vendor and am interested in this Tacori Setting. http://www.tacori.com/TACORI-SRCH/ENGAGEMENT/2565RD9-A-4-1-0-/ Since the stone vendor is not an authorized Tacori dealer, I decided to go through Robbins Bros for the setting. After talking with a sales rep. they said it would take up to 8 weeks to get this setting from Tacori. I did not want to wait so long therefore they offer to sell the setting that they had on the showroom. They will resize it themselves to the specified size. Is this a good idea?

I bought my setting from the RB showroom and had them size it. No problems. Then I shipped the setting to the online vendor I purchased my stone from, and had that vendor set the stone.

I''m just an ordinary person, not versed in jewelry craftsmanship, but. . . every diamond has different measurements. The Tacori settings are built to the exact specs of your diamond. I know. I have a Tacori. If I had to do it all over again, and still wanted a Tacori, I would, again, let them build it ground-up for my stone.
