Purchase made...buyers remorse! Did I mess up? :(

First off, thanks to everyone on this forum for the help. Also, buying a pear diamond is hell!

I just completed a purchase on JA, and I do not know if I made the right choice.

This is what I bought, and set in a platinum solitaire. Price for diamond was about $4,400USD

This is the diamond I passed up on: price is the same

The one I passed on has more of a bow tie, but a higher color. It might look more "crisp" the JA reps told me.

Did I mess up? Also, was setting it in platinum a waste of money when I could have saved like $500-600 going with white gold?

When investing so much money and time into a diamond, it is only natural to second guess.

I am no pear expert. But, if this were my ring, I would prefer the stone you chose set in platinum. I do not think you wasted your money.

I believe JA has a good return policy so if you are truly unhappy once you see it in person, let them know.

Thanks , do you think it's a good stone in general? Could or should I have got something better around that price range?
