i saw this in another forum and i thought it was super cute. obviously, we are all thankful for PS in general but a lot of people have created special relationships with PS''ers over the years they have been here...so who are you particularly thankful for this year? or in general?

What a sweet idea Mara!

I have to say there is no one else I have admired in all these years more than David Atlas. His intelligence, and wit, patience and oodles of knowledge in so many topics. Never saying anything mean or wrong, but just a class act!

Of course it's a close tie with Leonid & Irina....I miss them, and wish them well always!

i'll start out...i'm thankful for a lot of PS'ers in general, but i know i won't remember them all up front, i have been here a LONG TIME and that is a lot to remember!!! hehee.

first off aljdewey, we share parts of the same brain. we talk almost every day and when we are together it's like completing two parts of a whole. a really crazy whole.
also, canadiangrrl who is long gone from PS...but she was here years ago and she was our third triplet in how alike we all were. we miss her a lot.
belle, as my birthday twin and similarly like minded. my fave cranhead.
TG, for taking the time out of her busy work schedule to visit with me every time she visits my area, i love her dry wit in general and getting to know her in person has been really fun. looking fwd to next visit!
a bunch of bayarea PS'ers that i have become close with that i never would never have met if not for PS...kristydarling, luckyhonu, carebear, orangevixen, roppongi, wallermama. balenciaga lovers unite! hehee.
jorman, who has since left PS since getting married and living life, but when they moved to the bayarea, Greg & I met up with them and became great friends. they have since moved away but we really miss them and plan to visit next year!
deco, for her superior snark humor, i love reading her posts every time.
lynn b, for being a size whore like myself and proudly unashamed. you go girl, i love living vicariously through you.
the wwt'er PS'ers for keeping me honest, giving a ton of support and great advice and sharing knowledge on a daily basis.
leonid and irina for starting PS of course!! we miss them. and andrey for keeping all of us natives in line, it's difficult i'm sure!!
garry, dave atlas, rockdoc, rich sherwood as experts that we are all so lucky to have on this site. i remember when i first came here i thought it was so wonderful we had so much real knowledge here.
john Q for having a wonderful sense of dry humor and being a super knowledgeable tour guide.

ETA..I DO have to add Independent Gal...she's my traveling kindred spirit! (Damn, I knew I'd forget someone). AND...all the women who I disagree with from time to time...you keep things fresh and give me the "other side." You know who you are.

lorelei: Fellow fragrance lover and friendliest person on the board, hands down. And her emoties rule.
mara and ellen: Always have good, no-nonsense advice for everyday problems. Also ellen for the emoticons!
indiegal and travelinggal: Seem like really neat people.

Very wry senses of humor on these two.
DKS: Everything that she types is either wise, funny, or wise and funny. Wish I could call her with my problems.

and jessicam for the most redonkulous collection of jewelry I''ve ever seen. Egads, woman.

dave atlas, rockdoc, rich sherwood as experts that we are all so lucky to have on this site.

When I found my stone on that other board, Dave Atlas was nice enough to answer my post which is how I eventually sent my stone to be appraised by Chris. Rocdoc told me in the nicest possible way that the owners would never allow it be sent to him and I would have to find another appraiser. And it is a pity there was a parting of ways with Rich.

Gypsy because she was so helpful during my first few months on PS, is a survivor of so many ups and downs, and seems to have a suitable picture or thread for everyone looking for diamonds and/or settings. I haven''t seen any posts from her in recent days so hope all is well.

Deco and Tgal for their razor-sharp wit and excellent, down-to-earth advice expressed so well (if somewhat too bluntly occasionally

)

Madam Bijoux for her sound, supportive advice and her decision to buy only the very best of gems; but I''d be even more thankful if she''d post pictures of her sparklies. Yes, tap tap tap, I''m still waiting...

Storm, our in-house asscher specialist who fears no one''s wrath when giving his opinions. His posts suggest a very interesting (paradoxical) personality: offering many prayers for those who need them, while promoting his love of guns, and confessing to his youthful excesses.

Cehra who has done in-depth studies of different types of cushion diamonds trying to clear up the mysteries surrounding them. She also stood by me when I was floundering in asscher angst. I miss you and your beautiful ring.

Widget for her beautiful eye-candy and special spirit.

SDL for sharing her ups and downs, but mostly for being a lady (in the true sense of the word).

Lorelei: major enthusiasm for life! Everyone should stop and smell the roses ala Lorelei!

musey: my posting twin! I find myself going "yeah, what she said!" everytime you post.

SDL: I don''t know why -- I really just like you! You are always kind; very often really funny; very compassionate; and you just seem so dear. And, I don''t mean that in a mushy-gushy way. You are always a lady, even when you''re po''d; and if I didn''t know that deep down I longed to be as good at the snarky comeback as Deco is, I would have chosen you as my personal role model!

For every person I mentioned, there are 3 more that I can''t think of off the top of my head. You all seem like very fine people; you give great advice; you are always helpful and seem to really care about each other. And, that is what sets PS head and shoulders above all other forums.

Personally, I''m grateful for my Dave, our (new to us) house, our continued secure employment in an unsecure economy, our family and friends, our collective good health, and the blessings of this country and a gracious and loving Father.
