I''ve noticed several people saying "OMG, I had this long reply but then PS ate it". It''s happened to me, and I suspect it''s happened to a lot of us

So, this may be info you already have, and if so, it''s just a reminder. If you KNOW you have just typed a long reply and you''d hate to have to recreate it...

1. Hilight the entire post
2. Hit Ctrl + C
3. Then hit Submit

If PS takes your post

If PS eats your post

4. Hit Ctrl + V in the reply box and watch your post magically reappear

Its a good reminder PP, what I do if I have typed a lengthy post is to copy it with the mouse so if I get deadlocked, I can simply paste and repost.

I started doing exactly that after PS at my post a couple times.

And PS ate this post, so good thing I ctrl C''d it!

great PSA. This has been a life saver around here lately.

"Command +C" to copy

"Command +V" to velcro or paste

But the browser back button has also worked for me too, in safari.

I''ve been doing this for a long time. It''s become a habit to the point of doing it for everything - emails, other websites, etc.

Are you serious?? You click "Back", from the Error screen, and your post is still there?

I always ctrl+c my post before clicking submit. Actually, I do that with everything, including e-mail.

The back button works for me too, but if I have an especially lengthy post I will just highlight and right click to copy just in case.

It doesn''t work for me. It''s a blank screen when I go back.

Lucky y'all. I use Explorer and that is not the case for us. Like Kama, I just use the Ctrl+C with everything now. I don't even realize I'm doing it half the time.

I've received a few error messages and then just for the heck of it I try Ctrl+V and am pleasantly surprised the I did copy it!

I had the woes mentioned here when I used IE but on firefox I have no problems at all - hit back and my post is still there.

I have a PC and when I''m using Firefox, the back buttom works for me

I wonder what''s going on that is causing these problems? I get the error message 3 times a day now... at least!

Is it sad that I am so USED to doing this for PS, I do it on nearly everything else I write on my computer before sending/submitting?

I do CTRL+A, the CTRL+C. Faster.

I do the highlighted part too, and it always works for me.

I type my stuff up in Word then copy it from there.

That works for me too even on Firefox, but I always make sure to copy a longer post just in case. I nearly cried earlier when I was typing a long message on FB and it froze - I thought I had lost it.

for you non mac users - firefox is a great alternative to IE :)
