Today something happened for the first time.
I clicked on another CNN.com article and got a pop up saying I've reached my limit of free articles, and must sign up and give CNN my email address, free, but I must sign up.

But then CNN will track my activity, store them, and sell them to the monster, and make money doing it.
(I didn't bother reading CNN's membership terms and conditions ... I'm old already and I'd probably die of old age if I spend 17 years reading it with my electron microscope.)

Yes, I realize CNN has salaries to pay, but I'm already helping to pay those by seeing CNN's advertising, which can be a 30 second ad in order to watch every news video, which are often shorting than the ad I had to watch (ignore).
Nope I'm not gonna drop my drawers and allow yet another business have their way with me and spy to sell my info.

So I did a search, and found the solution is to just clear my browser cookies.
FWIW I'm on an iMac desktop, and Safari is my browser, but Duck Duck Go is my search engine.

It worked.

just remember if you clear your cookies you may have to sign back into everything you leave signed in to

I got that message weeks ago.
You don't have to clear your cookies. You can just open a private browser window.

Two days ago I began getting this message:

I googled it and someone said they clicked on it just to see what would happen. They got a page that said CNN is just testing to see how many people would be interested in paying!

Thanks pearlsngems. :wavey:
