I''m glad I''ve been buying generic brands!

thanks.

wouldn''t generic have same ingredients though?

the # of recalls on this product is very unsettling.

It''s not the ingredients they are worried about, it seems to be a quality control issue.

Does it say if we are suppose to mail the medicine in?

Tacori, I didn''t see anything about replacements, apparently all manufacturing is halted till quality control checks are in place, so I don''t think there are any replacements to get! I guess I will pick up some genetics for now. The thing that worries me about generics is that recalls might not be so widely publicized.

Ours was on the list too..the Motrin we have generic. Thanks for posting the recall!

So is the generic also unsafe?

It''s not that the active ingredients are unsafe in these medicines. It''s the concentration that they are concerned with. It may be higher dosage than stated. And there are also a chance of unsafe inactive ingredients and tiny particles.

Thanks qtiekiki--i always gave C lower than recommended dosages, so thank goodness for that.

Anyone know what we can use in the meantime?

FYI, I was able to return the Infants'' and Childrens'' Tylenol, Motrin and Benadryl at Target. For us, they would only return if there''s still a box with the barcode. But someone on thebump was able to return by getting the sku off the counter.

This is typical of Johnson and Johnson. The company voluntairly recalls products if anything within the quality control is not quite right. This started in the eighties when the first tylenol recall happened. That decision is still being discussed in busines schools.

Alternativley, I think about the generic companies that do not hold themselves to the same standard.
