I've been playing around 55 years and have around $15K in guitars.
I recognize a good guitar, and a superb value when I see one.
Back in my day a guitar this cheap sounded like crap and made your fingers bleed.
No more.
This Chinese-made guitar lists for $399, sells every day for $299, and is on sale now for $149.
KILLER Deal!
This website, Musicians Friend, is always running "Stupid Deals", amazing time-limited huge discounts that get you to check in daily to see what they have today.
I bought one of these guitars, and it arrived 2 days ago.
I'm astonished now good it is in nearly every way.
Not perfect, but at $149 I can't complain.
I'm telling everyone I know about them.
It has a small body (O-size) but full-lengh strings (25.4" scale length just like a full-sized Martin)
Soundboard (top) is solid spruce and back and sides are laminated with mahogany on the outside.
Real bone nut and real bone compensated saddle ... unheard of at this price point.
If you know anyone who's wanted to get started on guitar this is a steal.
Or, if you know someone with $15K of guitars who wants a excellent guitar to just throw in trunk for camping drunken parties, the beach etc. this is it.
The price will go back up to $299 any minute/hour/day now without notice, so grab one NOW while supplies last.
If you click and the price is back up to $299, it is still a great value!
I'm not a shill or stockholder, and don't get a penny on their sales.
