Congratulations!!! Hopefully m/s doesn't last as long this time.
J is a big boy.

puffy
Love your new avi. So cute. Can I see a big version?

Thanks. I guess I am not doubting that siblings of opposite gender can be close. Just that I think it would be nice to have a girl for M to shop with and share clothes with, etc.

Lucky you. Another Vegas trip and another Chanel. I told DH the other night that I kind of want to take a Vegas trip, and I know he does too. But we are not sure since we don't know about taking the kids and at the same time I have a hard time leaving the kids even for a weekend. It's been a long run for us; we used to go like 7-8 times a year.

Wow your DH wants a team of boys. hehe. I know what you mean. I feel like I am done right now, but I am 100% sure. DH always wanted 2, but even he isn't 100%. I was sorting through M's clothes and asked him if I should start selling or donating her stuffs, and he said let's hold on to them for a couple years in case we decide to have another kid. So who knows.

lili
I wanted to post the video of M babbling/singing, but I need a program that allows me to rotate the video. I have a bad habit of recording her sideway on my p&s camera. DH is going to download the Window Movie Maker for me to do that, but he hasn't gotten around to it. I don't think M is like your cousin because she does say a lot of words. So it isn't like she is babbling because she doesn't know some words. I don't know. I'll see how she is when she turns 2.

I don't drink soymilk regularly, so I don't think that's it. I think his gassiness might have to do with the fact that he moves his head around when he is nursing, so the latch isn't perfect and he sucks air in. Not sure though.

I am loving the videos of J. She is so adorable.

Tacori
We could’ve told you that T is a smart girl. =) You should be proud. Brain and beauty.
I assumed there were more “classes” at summer camp, but I just figure T wouldn’t be bothered by that.
LOL on T yelling at the boy for staring. M yells at her 5 yrs old cousin, but not at strangers yet.
Good luck with summer school.

Bobo
How far along are you again? My OB said at my 16 weeks appointment to not worry about low lying placenta yet because a lot of time it’ll move up as the baby gets bigger. Hope that’s the case for you. Take care.

ETA: Trying to get more use out of last year clothes - Yay or Nay for wearing dresses as tunics? Since M is actually leaner this year than last, the dresses still fit but they are short.

Tacori
That is sad that they are already 'classifying' them at this age,
but

for T being in the advanced group.
Like QT said, she's got brain and beauty. Pretty soon, you'll have to throw in body in the mix.
And I'm impressed w/ her ability to count in Spanish!
LOL.....10pm is J's bedtime.
About the only time she'll go down (not still not w/o a fight) before that is if she's dead tired or really sick.
Good luck w/ the earlier wake-up.
I hope the transition goes smoothly.

Bobo
Sorry to hear, but like QT said, don't worry about it until you have to worry.
Fingers crossed that your placenta will migrate up.

QT
Thanks. I tried not to post too many since there are already so many floating in cyberspace.
You don't need a program to rotate the clip...you can do it on FB.
LOL about the babbling. J went through that face too....where she's just babbling about something as if she's having a very deep conversation w/ her imaginary friend.
Yay for wearing the dresss as tunics.
J has one that she wore when she was 3 months old!

Hi all...again I''m mia...very sick since late Monday night. Oof.

jas-so sorry you''re sick. Hope you feel better soon!!

tacori-I always knew Tessa was a smartie!!

lili-i don''t think I commented but I love your avatar picture of J. she''s beautiful.

tacori wow, school is right around the corner for you. and T is such a smart girl!! so i take it that T will be in the advanced level next year. it''s great to hear wonderful things about the kids.

lili we''re not sure if we''re taking the boys since we are going to a show. so if we take the boys, we''ll probably take my mom as well so someone can be in the room with them when they are sleeping. i gotta give it to my DH though, he is quite the persistent man and does not take no for an answer. but i am on the mini pill though i don''t trust it 100%. how is your darling J doing?

bobo hope little gets over his cold soon. take care of him and yourself!

qt yeah, DH and i used to go vegas and mini trips to LA ALL the time. i am lucky that B loves to travel and is relatively well behaved so DH and i still try to get away a few times a year with the kids, and N is so easy right now, we figure we''ll take full advantage of it. i''m sure M would love the lights and sounds of vegas, and she might be hooked like B. haha.

jas get better soon!!

for you qt...

and because i can''t resist

B&Npuffy.jpg

Puffy: cuties!! I love photos of kissing siblings! Noah is a big boy, how old is he now?

Ok, so I have a bit of silly question regarding foods.
I know hamburgers and tacos are some fun foods to give toddler, but how do you serve it? Cut it into tiny pieces? And how about tacos? I''ve been wondering this ever since TGals taco truck was brought up!

Janine--i''ve only ever given co bites from my own burger. His first try was at his b-day BBQ, b/c we don''t ever make them at home. i was wondering the same thing about hot dogs etc. If we have tacos he just gets a bowl of the filling with some grated cheese, chopped avacado and salsa mixed in and he eats the tortilla seperately. Not sure what others do.

Tacori--well, we could have told you T was smart, but i guess we are all biased too
1.gif
. It''s very odd that they level them already. Never heard of that, but heck, if they do, kinda nice to know you have a smartie pants!

jas-- get better!!!

Puffy---oh what sweeeet boys
30.gif

Lili--no wonder you go to bed so late. If Co were up till 10, i''d need to stay up late to decompress. Well, whatever you are doing with her, sleep wise, works. She is one bright kiddie.

So co''s latest thing is to almost whisper in a little cutesy, sugary sweet voice with chin tucked and eyes raised up (all he''s missing is a batting of the eye lids) *any* request that is either ridiculous or unlikely to be granted. This morning at brekkie he sweetly whispered "just a little bath with bubbles now?"
41.gif
(bath time is before bed)
or yesterday it was "just one Yo Gabba Gabba okay??" (as he was getting ready for bed). He''s totally working the cute angle but it is out of the blue. Where do kids come up with things?? I''ll have to get it on video b/c it''s hilarious.
1.gif

janine, Jake has eaten bites of a burger but I usually just cut up the meat and he eats it that way, dipping it in ketchup and mustard of course. I do the same think as jas12 for the tacos and just put the filling on a plate for him. he uses a fork and eats it up that way. we did go out for mexican last week and he wanted some of my chicken fajita. I gave him a bite and he took it from me and ate the rest. So, he's getting close to being able to eat a real burger or taco I think but it's a very recent development for him. He still won't even try a hot dog on a bun though. he asks me to cut it up for him and put it on his plate.

jas12-that is so cute about Co. Jake's been doing the same thing and has become an expert at saying please and thank you. He's so cute and polite it's hard to tell him no
40.gif

puffy, both pics are so cute of your boys. I love the second one
30.gif

So much going on here...I''m going to just haphazardly make comments...

First, lili, hoping for the best for TTCing for you!

Re: everyone who is sick...I hope you are all feeling better - babies and mommies alike. Jas12, funny story about Co, but glad he''s fine.

Puffy, that is an adorable photo and a testament to how adorable same sex siblings are. Bobo, I hope you are feeling better. I agree with the others that I think a brother for lil'' B is going to be tops, but I do feel for you and letting go of that dream of having a daughter.

Tacori, doesn''t surprise me you have a smarty. The spirted ones always are!
5.gif

Blen, hope all is well. Noticed you haven''t posted in a few days. Have your ILs come into town too? Hehehe. George looks perfect to me...hope you don''t have the self imposed ban on pics a few of us around here do and continue to post pics of your cutie. And I know it probably broke your heart when he had to get glasses, but I just love his pics with them. He''s just so charming.

Janine, I haven''t given tacos to Amelia, but hamburger I cut up. And it gets messy and really doesn''t work all that well, so I think I''m really not the person to give advice on food. Amelia hates my cooking.
41.gif

Jas12 and MrsS...the sickly sweet stuff is funny indeed. Now I have to teach Amelia that just because she bats her little lashes and sweetly says please does not mean she gets everything she wants. But goshdernedit, it certainly is hard to say no to it!

MrsS, yay on Jake''s stats! Right in the perfect range of normal.
1.gif
Did I miss the other April babies stats on here? I feel like I''ve been MIA for so long!

QT, you''re the perfect candidate to have another kid...your body was made for it, you teeny tiny preggo you. I hate you.
9.gif

And finally, CONGRATS sbde!!!!!!

Amelia news: The only bit I have is that this kid can finally jump. Yeah, I know, stop the presses. She''s the most unco (uncoordinated) kid I have ever seen. She still can''t navigate steps well and I swear it''s because her eyes are so far from the ground, she just is awkward. Of course, I really can''t even use that as an excuse as Tayva is just as tall and appears to have very graceful motor skills.
5.gif

Oh, and the sandbox is a massive hit, thank god. After trucking in all that free sand, I''m glad she likes it. I have to admit, it was worth the effort because the sand is top notch and if I close my eyes and run my toes through it (with a pina colada in hand), I *almost* can believe I''m in a fantastic tropical locale and not in my backyard sandbox surrounded by buckets, shovels and rakes and a kid who is going to need a major bath after it''s all over. *sigh*

tgal: ah I see--for some reason i thought the "taco truck" was for tacos for the kiddos (who I just assumed were around A''s age). And yay for jumping!

Nope...but the taco lady did make hot dogs for the kids. Awesome, as hot dogs are a huge choking hazard, but hey.

As usual, I suck because I only do quick drive bys here but I feel like I catch up more with you guys on FB! Lame excuse but just wanted to check in and say hello to my favorite ladies!
35.gif
And a big welcome to all the new toddler moms.

Puffy, those photos are too stinking cute!! LOVE THEM!!!!! If DH is bribing you with all kinds of goodies, I think you should definitely consider TTC again! Look at those adorable boys--don''t you want one more????
2.gif

Tacori, I''m so not surprised that Tessa is a star! I''m telling you, they act completely differently when we''re not around--perfect angels!

bobo, hope you''re feeling better and getting used to the idea of having another little boy. I''m here to testify once again that same sex siblings are awesome!!! I wouldn''t worry too much about the low lying placenta. I had that with both pregnancies and it ended up moving up so there were no issues.

lili, great to see you. Hope things are heading in the right direction for you. How''s J?

janine, you know Lucy is a total piglet so if I''m having a burger, she will literally grab my hand and pull it over to take a bite! We haven''t done tacos yet but it''s a good idea.

Jas12, Co is certainly learning to work the charm, huh?! So cute!! Hope you''re feeling great.

mrssalvo, sounds like Jake is doing great. Are your girls just in love with him? I always imagine big sisters dressing up their little brothers in crazy outfits like he''s their doll!!

sbde, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Hope you''re feeling ok.

qt, you should definitely have one more! Like TGal said, you are so tiny and your body can bounce back from these babies so quickly! Do it!!!!!

In curlyworld, it''s just one party after another, literally. All of Lily''s friends are now turning 3 so we have parties every weekend. She doesn''t want one. She only wants a school party with a cake that has teddy bears, pigs and lambs on it but no cows!! And then she wants to have a party with Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, etc. because we told her about Sesame Place in PA and she really wants to go there. OK, whatever! She''s really becoming a quite a lady. She will now poop on the "baby potty" which is the free-standing one instead of the seat we put on the regular toilet which is where she pees but she told me that she will start pooping on the big potty when she turns 3. So that is on May 5 and I''m going to hold her to it!! She''s still a clothing diva. Will only wear dresses and the shoes that she picks out. I simply can''t fight that battle so I don''t!

Lucy is still the rockstar, gigantic toddler. At her 18 month appointment last week, she weighed....32 lbs!!!!! She has to stand up on the big scale now--she''s too big for the baby scale. She''s also 35" tall so definitely a big girl all around--off the charts. She''s totally a ham. She loves to be the clown and is really very funny. She''s talking up a storm and putting words together into small sentences. She''s also beyond inquisitive. Every 2 seconds she asks, "Mommy, what are you doing?" over and over again! At school, they said she''s like the ringleader. One day on the playground, she decided to take off her shirt and hold it over her head as she ran all over the place. All the other kids followed suit and in no time, there was a whole group of topless toddlers!!!!! DH said we need to make sure to keep her away from "the pole"! She is also totally fearless and unlike her sister who is more cautious until she knows what she''s dealing with, Lucy dives into everything with full gusto. She is still a joy to be around although she has started some mini-tantrums but can be easily redirected so far.

The sisters seem to really love each other as evidenced by all the hugging and kissing and playing together that they do. It warms my heart to watch them because I was seriously so freaked out by having them so close together but now I wouldn''t have it any other way. So even though it''s exhausting, life is pretty good on the kid front!

Hope everyone''s doing great!! I''ll check in again soon!

Thank you all for the well-wishes. I am lucky to have a DH who works from home and generally knows the routines around here. He did a yeoman''s job yesterday tending to me, the kids, the dog, and his job. Today I have more energy, but not enough to do more htan write and read with the boys. Fortunately, they love that. We did about 2 hours of books this morning.

Jackson -- Every time that little monkey drops something or throws something or destroys something, he says, "Chicka chicka boom boom"the way I say it when we hit the page about all the letters falling out of the tree. It''s a riot. For some reason, he still is banging his head intentionally...often looking at me until he catches my eye, squatting, then banging his head on the floor. Yeah, he''s ready for NASA.
Logan -- talking seems like such an effort, but his comprehension is fantastic. (Ask him to point to things or go get something)...so it''s not his hearing. When I point to a picture of an elephant, he makes an elephant sound but doesn''t try to say elephant. He imitates my cadence sometimes, using nonsense words. I''m trying not to worry, but it is a fascinating look at how two boys raised at the same time with the same exposure to the same speech are developing at two rates. Logically I know that boys tend to talk later and that it''s ok, but yeah, sometimes it''s hard to see friends here and IRL and how well their kids talk...sigh. DH and I think he''s intimidated by J''s verbal skills. He nods a lot when I talk with him, and I ask him to use his words, but I also don''t want to stress the kid out. I''m sure he''ll either be talking within a few months or we''ll figure out if there is an issue we need to deal with.

We''re talking #3 pretty seriously here...right now it''s an insurance thing. B/c I had a c/s, they won''t cover a c/s...and I don''t qualify for maternity coverage for another few months. Not sure if that changed since the healthcare stuff, so we need to meet with our insurance dude. I am bummed that *that* is holding us back. I am well past Spring Chicken mode. What do you call an old chicken? Coq? That''s me.
Jas12 -- I am so sorry about Co''s misadventure at the store. I have no advice about your DH''s trip...it seems like there is no good answer.
7.gif
Do you have any other family/friends close by to have "on call"? (I know that''s not the only issue...) My DH had two trips scheduled around 6 weeks before I went into labor...one of the trips my mom stayed with me, and the other one I asked him not to go. He stayed home. Good thing, too...The "cute angle" is a riot and I do hope you can get it on video!
Lili -- So nice to hear from you and am glad you are down the TTC path again. I wish you well on that!
Tacori -- I don''t think there is a bad choice in the daycamp/preschool decision. Sounds like T will thrive where ever she is! (And hooray for her being tracked in the smart group, although a. ew on tracking overall and b. we''re not surprised one bit!
Snlee -- I hope your little bean gives you a big ol'' full frontal u/s tomorrow! How exciting! Amazing about the weight gain...so funny how different pregnancies go.
Bobo -- I''m glad your follow up went well. That must be a relief! Hang in there!
QT -- sounds like the park was a lot of fun! I don''t know how you manage that...I feel like I need an entire army to go with me to the park!
Janine -- your little one is quite the talker -- how awesome! Good luck trying to figure out daycare! As for tacos -- I usually deconstruct... all the elements separated. I show them how to put it together sometimes. Other times I let them make a big ol'' mess and eat it how they want. Sometimes I put it together for them. Depends on your messiness tolerance. Or you can give them meat, beans, etc. and some tortilla chips. Mine like to dip things in other things.
Puffy -- holy cow that kissing picture made my day! Thanks for sharing!
Tgal --we''re all jumping for joy that you''re back!
2.gif

Hello Curly! My word, you have quite the household there! Your girls sound so very sweet! Don''t worry...I love updates no matter how sporadic!

Off to the blogosphere!

janine thanks! noah is 4 months today. as for burgers, B will usually take a bite of mine or just eat the bun with tomato and lettuce, he''s not a big meat eater but loves his veggies.

jas12 oh my, how cute Co sounds!!! kids are way too funny. B is now starting to negotiate with me. but he never wins. then he will say, ''c''mon mommy compromise!''

mrsS thanks! hope jake is doing better.

tgal thanks! YAY for your girl jumping!!

curly thanks! honestly, i am DONE being preggo for now and i love that i can sleep late and sleep in and don''t have to get up to care for the kids. but i do love me some new goodies! the girls sound like they are doing very well!! and noah might just weigh as much as lucy...he''s HUGE!!

jas thanks! hope you are doing better. hope all the insurance stuff gets straightened out soon.

MrsS
Thanks! It was one of her giving me her cheeky smile for the camera.

Jas12
LOL....that is too funny.
J''s been pretty coy when she asks for things too.
I especially love it when she called out to her dad to use his iphone.
"oh dadddy.......can i have eh play w/ my iphone? Yes?"
And then she''ll tilt her head to the side and give a curt smile :D
Ditto everyone on getting Co on tape!

Puffy
LOL...."compromise" that''s classic.
J is learning the art of negotiations too.
"mommy give me so pediasure, i''ll to to sleep"
This is one of her tactics to stall sleep.
She''s doing good, aside from the senstive tantrum triggers
20.gif

It was the worst 2 days ago. Cried and whined at every little thing.
And also refused to eat her dinner too.

LOL...your DH must be persistent in order to win you over.
I should start keeping my ears (or eyes) open for an announcement from you sometime next spring? :D

That kissing picture is priceless.

TGal
Yay for A jumping.
Jumping is probably not her thing.
As you can see....J couldn''t jump either :P
She''s a climber for sure. The only way she can get her feet off the ground is if she starts from higher ground first.
She loves jumping off our master bed.

jas
Hope you are feeling better.
LOL...on the "chicka chicka boom boom". That''s too much!

Curly
We take sporadic posts over nothing.
Wow.....Lucy is big -- she''s taller than my 2yr old.
And she''s almost 10 lbs heavier too. Last J weigh herself, she was 22lbs and change.
So cute how she''s so inquisitive....just like J.
It''s "daddy, what are you doing?" or "what are you eating?"
Yay for Lily poopy potty.
Are you going to have one of those potty party for her if she does?

lili
Really? I didn''t notice the option of rotating a video on there. I''ll check it out.
Know what you mean about too many videos of the kids on cyberspace. DH is giving me a hard time on posting so many pics of the kids. So I won''t be posting pics as often.
I don''t think M can fit into her 3 months dresses, or maybe I should try. hehe. Oh talking about old clothes - remember the brown onesie that some many of the girls had, I just got a 5 pack of 24 months onesie for M and that brown ones is one of them.
M''s bedtime is at 9pm, but most day she isn''t actually asleep until 10pm or later. Yet she manages to wake up by 7am most morning.

jas
Feel better soon. Yay for your DH taking care of you and everyone else.
How cute that Jackson says "chicka chicka boom boom". He''s got your personality. hehe.
I know how you feel with Logan talking. M is the same way, will point to stuffs and know what we are telling/asking her. Like I said to lili, I''ll wait to see what the pedi says at her 2 yrs appointment. He was happy with her 5-10 words at 18 months, so we''ll see.
I didn''t go out to the park by myself. DH was there. I think you have a much harder job than me, with two toddlers.
They won''t cover a c/s because you had a c/s? That sucks. Insurance stinks.

puffy
I am pretty sure M will be hooked by the lights and sounds too. hehe. J isn''t the easiest baby right now, so we''ll see. DH mentioned that he wants to take M to Disneyland. Although it''s not really a trip for us since we are local, but it''s exciting to see that my anti-Disneyland DH actually wants to go to Disneyland.
Aww Brady and Noah are so cute. Love the kissing pic. Noah look older than 4 months. He is such a big boy.

janine
Haven''t try tacos yet. With burgers, I just cut her a portion and let her get at it. Things fall out and get messy, but she doesn''t like it if I cut it into bite size pieces.

jas12
So cute that Co is using his charm. It must be hard to say no to.

Tgal
Welcome back. Yay for Amelia jumping.
Boy, all the 2 yrs old are doing the sweet thing. I guess I''ll need to prepare for that, in case M does it.
You''ve been tricked. My body is not made for having kids. In fact, DH said to me shortly after I had J that he doesn''t want to put my body through another pregnancies. My body didn''t bounce back yet. hehe.

curly
I reserve the right to decide on a third kid. I am definitely not closing the door yet, but as of this moment, it''s leaning toward a no.
I love hearing updates about your girls. They are so full of personalities and charms.
Yay for Lily pooping in the potty. Lucy is such a big girl. How sweet that the girls are hugging and kissing.

I know that I shouldn''t get mad at him since he doesn''t know any better, but our little sucker took off his glasses in the car (i.e. when he was facing backwards and DH''s attention was elsewhere) and chewed the heck out of them. They are just covered in teeth marks and scratches and it''s hard to see through them. Scratch resistant coating is no match for teething apparently. And then it happened again in the stroller, again when he was facing away from us and we weren''t diligently watching his every move. Thankfully the eyeglass place said that they would replace the lenses for free, this time at least. His new lenses are allegedly coming in by the end of the week, so I guess that means tomorrow at this point.
His weak eye isn''t tracking as well as it was, and I think we''re going to have to start patching again. Blerg.

I know that none of you have been in the same position, but since you all have good heads on your shoulders - any ideas for how to prevent chewing on the glasses? He''s supposed to wear them all the time except naps, which would include stroller and car, or I''d just enforce a "no glasses" rule when we can''t adequately supervise. I honestly thought we''d have to shell out money for a new pair and so I was going to keep the scratched up ones as car/stroller glasses so that it didn''t matter quite as much, but I''m not sure that I''d want to spend an extra $170 just so that we can have a good pair and a yucky pair. He has a teething toy clipped to his stroller... come to think of it he doesn''t have similar in the car, so maybe that''s some place to start?

Speaking of siblings, and the like - I''ve started getting baby fever again.... Nothing in the works for a few months minimum though.

TGal, thanks for thinking of me.
1.gif
Everything''s going fine, just busy trying to balance work and family life and so PS has been the one to go most days. In-laws haven''t come to town... we''re living with them until DH gets a job. I bet you''re jealous.
3.gif

And yay for jumping! It''s funny how many things you don''t even think about kids having to learn to do until you''re watching how they progress for themselves.

Tacori - Yay for Tessa being advanced. I didn''t know that they started classifying them that young either!

Jas - hope you feel better soon! And I hope that you can get all the insurance stuff straightened out. That stinks that that''s the main thing in your way right now.

Puffy - those pics are so sweet.
30.gif

Hamburgers/tacos - obviously G is younger, but he has bites off of ours, or we give him bite-sized pieces of fillings etc and let him eat it by himself. He loves taking "bite" off of grown up food. He can be a little mooch at times.

Jas12 - aww. It must be hard to say no to that!

sbde - congrats!!!

Curly - wow is Lucy big! Your girls just sound adorable. And pooping in the potty is great!

Aaaaand, gotta go. Sorry to those I missed!

popping in here to say Jas I always have loved your writing and I am so 'there' if you have your own blog.
Any hints on how to find it?

Thanks janinegirly.

Thanks QT, I''m 19 weeks.

Thanks lili.

Thanks jas, hope you feel better soon.

Thanks puffy, the boys look so cute together. B is such a sweet brother.

Thanks TGal, the idea of having another boy is starting to sink in and I do look forward to it. But I will admit, seeing cute baby girl outfit in the store still makes me sad...

Thanks Curly, I am starting to look forward to it, Thanks for sharing the info. It''s just that this pregnancy haven''t been smooth so...Yay on Lily with the potty!

qt oh my...i know M will love disneyland...who doesn''t?!?! B loved it the first time we went and he''s been dying to go this year, but we''re telling him no since we''re going to disneyworld at the end of the year. but i think my parents MIGHT surprise him with a trip there sometime in the summer. how are your kiddies doing?is M sleeping ok in her bed? hope J is giving you some free time.

lili haha, J is so funny!! bedtime is the only thing that B will not put up a fight for. everything else, he will try to negotiate with me. like i''ll give him a bite of my cookie and he''ll say, ''why do YOU get the bigger half??'' because i am mommy, ''well, i''m brady.'' ''can i please have 1 more bite, that''s it, i promise'' kids i tell ya...you give them an inch and they ask for a foot! no, i think next spring would be too soon for me, IF we do decide to have another.

blenthanks. sorry no advice on the chewing the lenses. but WOW, i can''t believe he did that.

bobo wow, 19 weeks already!! you''re almost halfway there. B is a really good big brother and i am sure that little B will be the exact same way.

Hello mommies! Just wanted to pop in and say hi real quick...I''m drowning in my packing and moving prep. DH was out of town Tuesday-Thursday this week and leaves again Monday-Thursday next week and we move Friday so needless to say it''s all on me! Add to that K has gone down hill fast with the food stuff so he''s pretty uncomfortable and unhappy most of the time and doesn''t sleep well. I cut the dairy and corn back out completely so hopefully in a few days he''ll start feeling better. T is doing great. She''s excited to move to the new house and tries to "help" pack. She also thinks it''s so fun to have boxes to jump and climb on all over the house! I hope to come back around soon and catch up!

He''s supposed to wear them all the time except naps, which would include stroller and car, or I''d just enforce a ''no glasses'' rule when we can''t adequately supervise.

Everything''s going fine, just busy trying to balance work and family life and so PS has been the one to go most days. In-laws haven''t come to town... we''re living with them until DH gets a job. I bet you''re jealous.

And yay for jumping! It''s funny how many things you don''t even think about kids having to learn to do until you''re watching how they progress for themselves.
Ha the highlighted part made me chuckle.

Blen, I think you''ve thought of what I would. I would probably just spend the extra money and have a crap pair and a good pair. I''m not keen on the idea of doing a no glasses rule when he''s in the car or stroller because all they have to occupy them is to look around. Depending on how oral he is, I also might give it a go to teach him not to put the glasses in his mouth, but that would take constant supervision for a few days if it were to work at all. Everytime he does it (or is about to pull them off), just gently pull his hands back and say "glasses, mouth, no." I taught Amelia not to teach the heater that way at around 7 months, but I think glasses in the mouth would be way harder to teach, especially to babies who love putting stuff in their mouths (which Amelia doesn''t.) But if he gets thwarted at every turn (preferrably before he can even get them off his head), he may not bother trying anymore.

And then there''s the universal solution...duct tape, but I don''t reckon you want to duct tape them to his head?

Oh, and speaking of glasses, snlee, I saw your update and forgot to comment, but I also took Amelia to the eye doc and her eyes are perfect. If anything, it''s pseudo-strabimus like D.

So I''m gonna be lazy and not even try to catch up

. I''m still working 2 positions and can''t wait until my replacement starts in a week! Then I can slack again some

Hi all you mommies! I hope everything''s going well in toddler world. We''re getting the beginings of tantrums, and having some meal-time issues where he doesn''t want to eat anything we attempt to feed him (I think he just wants to feed himself now). Next week is off to Seattle for a wedding!

And here''s a little contribution to BPF, I know it''s not the cute smiley side of Kyle, but his curls are going crazy! Too bad he''s not a girl, I''d have little bows and ponytails happening

Just popping in to say....Mgal, I can''t believe Kyle is getting such curls!! So cute!!! Do you or DH have curly hair? (Just curious since I do and wonder if Lex will end up w/ curls or not).

cdt - I have brown curls and DH has blond waves, so Kyle seems to have a mix of both sides. It was straight until just a few months ago, even his 1 year pics look nothing like he does now. He just suddenly broke out in curls!

Those curls are too cute for words.
