PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

QT, how great! One of each. I am sure your DH is excited.

Diva, congrats on the upcoming move. You will love having your own space again.

Congrat QT!!! A boy!!!

QT--
Oh wow...that''s great.
I''m sure your hubby will be over the moon happy on that day ^.^
Hehe...so would this mean that you''ll be a double shopaholic since you''ll be getting boy and girl''s items now.
Ultra cute belly by the way.
You really do look like a preggo model (face and all).

happy sat. all. we are heading back to the pumpkin patch today. my parents, my sister and some of our friends are all coming so it will be a big family affair. We didn''t do the hay ride or corn maze when we went earlier this week so there would be something for the big girls to look forward to. they are super excited.

i hope everyone has a wonderful day/weekend!

QT - congrats on Team Blue!! I love being a mom to a boy! It is soooo much fun! And you are the cutest preggo.

Tacori - I know!! I can''t wait to get out of here. It''s not been horrible but it''s so exciting to have something that''s ours.

Mrs Salvo - We took James to a pumpkin patch last week - I haven''t had a chance to upload our pics yet. Computer issues.

I''m going to start following this thread again - bear with me during our move though!

TGal--
Thanks for the info.
I''m not a big halloween person either.
Just thought J might like seeing and picking up pumpkins.

MrsS--
How fun.
Hope you guys get to do the ride this time.
Love your first series of pumpkin patch pictures.
Looked like everyone was having fun.
And your pumpkin patch is so much nicer than the ones we have here.
We went to one yesterday and it was just so pathetic.
I think it may be the last ones for us...unless J asks about it next year.
I''ll just go and grab one pumpkin from TJ lol.

Diva--
Oooh...good luck w/ the move.
Remove to post pictures of your place when you guys are settled in.
Can''t wait to see your pumpkin pictures.

Speaking of house pictures....
Bobo and Snlee-- are you two all settled in your new place?

Congrats QT!
Little boys are fun! I highly recommend them

hi mommies!!!
we''re home and boy is it good to be home. we all had a wonderful time at disneyland and ca adventures. B loved trick or treating and seeing all the characters. buzz and woody and mickey mouse were his absolute favorites. he was the dream child there. he held onto our hands, sat in his stroller, did everything we asked of him. and of course he brought home way too many souvenirs!!

hope everyone os doing well!!! i''ll try to catch up soon. but really quick...

qt CONGRATS on a little boy. i am sure your DH will be s thrilled!!

have a great rest of the weekend.

So one of the things I have learned over the past two years is people are REALLY possessive over their airline seats. They just aren''t as flexible as people *should* be. Anyways, it is funny b/c I checked our seat assignments today and we are all in a middle seat on the way there. Errr....that probably won''t work. I told the lady that I guess it will be a more pleasant flight for me...not even a chuckle. She said it shouldn''t be a problem to get someone to switch but I KNOW we are going to get mean looks, sighs, etc...I mean the only thing WORSE than sitting in the middle seat is sitting next to a baby/toddler
41.gif
I was telling Princesss if they give me a hard time I am MORE than happy to give them a few snacks and her dvd player for her and see her when we land. Haha. Can you even imagine? T would freak out. Just another joy of traveling with a toddler.
23.gif

tacori even on the flight to LA...not even 1 hour flight. DH and i got the big ole stink eye from the people sitting in first class. we just prefer to do first class cause there is so much more room for B. anyways, we got him a seat too. and all 10 people in first class were just looking at us like we were going to be ruining their trip. but B was wonderful on the flight..thank god for his DVD player and toy story. and at the end of the flight, people were saying how wonderful he was. DH and i just laughed about it. i''m sure you will find some nice person to switch seats so that you guys can be together. i''m sure T will charm everyone on the flight and by the end of the flight people are going to be in love with her. where are you guys off to?

just had a quick minute to check in. still trying to unpack and do laundry. be back in a bit.

puffy, no where exciting. Just off to WI for thanksgiving. I should have requested my seats sooner. Oh well. T is not *great* on airplanes. She doesn''t usually cry but will whine during takeoff and landing and if she is missing her nap. She doesn''t like to be confined so if she was allowed to run up and down the aisle she would have a blast. I resort to lots of snacks, DVD, books, toys...but nothing I have for her is as enticing as her freedom. It is a 90 min flight so I cannot imagine having a window (or aisle) is worth babysitting. But people are pretty funny.

tacori you sound a lot like me with snacks, toys, books, basically anything that will keep the kid busy for even 2 minutes. but that was all before B had a new found love for airplanes. now he wants to go on an airplane everyday. he even promises to be good and not move or get out of his seat. it''s pretty funny. how is the party planning going? any other ideas for cupcakes? i''m kinda starting to plan B''s, but the boy will not make up his mind about what he wants.

quick drive by to say congrats to QT!!!!

I know that's what you / DH wanted, so how perfect!

had C's one year (even though she's almost 13 mo's) and she is so tinsy. Height = 28 3/4 and weight 19 2oz, head 18 inches. Dr. was happy with it since she said there's progression which counts--still I have such a little little one! Funny thing on height is at first they measured her at 28 1/4 and I said, woah, that's not much growth, can we try again? And 2nd time all the sudden they found 1/2 an inch, so just goes to show how inacccurate it can be.

otherwise, i'm travelling for work now and had the most sleepless night ever last night (worst timing!). C was up every hour and from 330-5am. I finallly had to bring her into the bed (I never do that) b/c I couldn't take it and she hit her head on the crib in trying to race to stand up, so that was the final straw. Boy things have changed since I last co-slept (4 months old)---she was moving all over until she was half on my pillow and sideways. She was way too restless to stay in my bed, so back to the crib she went. I had to be up at 6am, so no sleep for me. I hope no one can tell at work (coffee can only do so much)! I had mentioned C's sleeping habits to the dr. but she said it sounded like normal separation anxiety--although this was before last night's episode. I hope it's a fluke or really is teething this time!

I'm happy to have found you lovely mommies on FB meanwhile-I hope to catch up more on it soon! No FB access at work...so that really limits me since that's when I'm usually catching up with you ladies (haha).

Puffy and Tacori, flights never sound like a stress free thing with kids! Tacori, hopefully it will go well. Puffy, yes, first class seats would help. I don''t care when I see kids in FC, UNLESS they are acting up. But I always give them the benefit of the doubt, i.e. no stink eye!

Janine, she''s petite and perfect! Sleepless nights suck, so hopefully tonight will be better!!

Puffy--
Welcome back.
Can''t wait to see pictures of you guys.
Sounds like B was just the perfect flier ^.^

Tacori--
Haha, you nailed it on the head about nothing being more enticing than their freedoms to our little girls ^.^
I can just see T blasting down the aisle in glee.
It''s a 90 minute flight, so shouldn''t be too bad.

Janine--
Like TGal said, Chloe is perfect and petite!
J was only 18 lbs at her 1 yr check-up.
Haha, so true about the inaccuracy of those height measurement.
J actually shrunk 1/2 inch in a week when we took her in for one of her follow-up appt.
Sorry about the sleepless night.
Hopefully she''ll sleep better tonight.

TGal--
I was just looking at your avi...
where is A in the picture?
41.gif

She can just stand in the sideline looking at you banging your head

Wouldn''t it be some form of abuse to let your kid watch you bang your head?
41.gif

I''ve had the banging av forever, so I don''t bother to change it. I should get rid of the shoes though...

haha, it is unless you tell her this is something you shouldn''t be doing.

Congrats QT!!! I''m sure your DH will be thrilled!

lili~J and T must have gotten together and decided to both stage a food strike!
9.gif
I really do think it''s a phase, although T ate a TON today. Weird.

puffy~Welcome back! Sounds like a great trip.

Tacori~Hope all goes well with the flight....I''m sure it''ll work out and T will be irresistible as usual!

janine~T is incapable of sleeping with us (if I try when she''s not feeling well, ect, which is RARE). No one sleeps. She usually just talks and plays and/or if she sleeps she''s all over the place and I can''t sleep. Annoying. Hope C has a better night tonight.

We''re on fall break and my big plans to potty train are going to h*** in a handbag....just hard to stay home all day long. We went to the pumpkin patch tonight (didn''t want to skip that to PT) and DH had to go in to the office today instead of officing at home so I had to take her to daycare for a couple hours while I had vb practice. Needless to say, we''re not making a whole lot of progress.
39.gif
Oh well. I''m just happy to be on break so I''ll take what I can get!
9.gif

lili, did I ask which pumpkin patch you went to?

Burk, sounds like what you are doing is more fun than potty training anyway!

So did everyone say what their kid is going to be for halloween?

C will be a lady bug for Halloween! I'm excited for her costume, but she is not! I tried it on for size and she was miserable. Funny pictures though..

My first choice was ladybug. But I didn''t want any customer that had a head covering (hoodie style). I am not a fan of halloween but I was at the mall yesterday and gymboree had marked down their costumes again (although wasn''t actually physically marked). So I got a flower fairy costume that looks great on her.

Pottery barn had a totally cute ladybug tutu that I wanted, but it hasn''t even been marked down a tad yet. Plus $70 for a costume? No thanks!

I got a lady bug costume from Children's Place. It's like a fat suit, with removable/separate hoodie and leggings with booties. It was under $20, so I was happy. I agree about not spenidng tons especially when they're not going to last long in the costume!

Flower Fairy sounds really cute!!
36.gif

Janine, I saw that costume, it is cute!

I was really surprised that over the weekend, there weren''t a lot of markdowns on costumes. The halloween costume store had NO discounts whatsoever. Stores are finally doing their markdowns this week. The gymboree costume that I got is still 16.99 on the website, but 12.99 in the stores. The headpiece and booties were only 2.50 (from 9.75), so over all, not a bad price for a costume.

This is the one I got.

janine-love the ladybug idea. i know C will be so cute...and tgal the fairy costume is adorable. please take pics of A and post them on FB so we can see her. Jake is going to be a dalmatian. I got his costume from Old Navy and it's really cute on him. my big girls are going to be Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked. I'm not a fan of Halloween either and just don't like all the scary freaky costumes so that was the only way I'll let them be Witches

LOL MrsS. My friend is dressing up her kid as a vampire and suggested a witch to me. I said, nope, not a fan of witches. Or black cats. Now DOGS, I can get behind.
30.gif

Ha, your girls are going to look great!

Burk--
Haha, they must have.
J is still not eating much of her meal.
She will a ton though when we are out.
Guess she likes dining out
20.gif

Sounds like what you did is way more fun than PT.
Don''t worry about the PT.
Maybe when winter rolls around, Tayva will feel the discomfort of a wet and cold diaper and will to wear her big girl panties :D

TGal--
Yea you did.
We went to the one on the corner of PCH and Hawthorne.
It was pretty lame, especially when you see these fantastic pumpkin patch pictures from MrsS, Tacori, and Burk.
Small petting farm, which you can pet behind the fence -- and it''s no wonder they are fenced in because those sheep and goats were pretty aggressive.
They came charging at us like they haven''t been fed in months.

Ooo...that fairy costume is so cute...and what a steal.
Can''t wait to see it on A.

Haha, not a fan of cat huh?
J was a cat last year :P Was thinking about putting her in the same outfit again.

Janine--
I have to laugh at your little miserable ladybug.
J''s like that too....that''s why I didn''t get a costume that is hooded.
Do post those pictures please.

Cute customs ladies! I bought T the pumpkin one from pbk. Of course I am annoyed I paid pull price but oh well. I did snag the bee basket for $6.99. I figure it will match her old custom (for the next kiddo) and would look cuter than the cheap pumpkin one I got her last year.

I am so far from PTing. She still lies to us. We will ask if she pooped (she OBVIOUSLY did) and she just says "no, no." I don''t understand why she wouldn''t want a clean diaper. Pee seems to bother her more b/c often she will start screaming "diaper! Yuck! Diaper."

I am never eating popcorn again. I think I got a seed lodged into my gum b/c it is really swollen and painful. So annoying!

tgal awww, amelia is going to be so darn cute in her costume!!

janine i saw the ladybug at children''s place and it is super cute. i''m sure C will make the cutest ladybug.

tacori haha, that''s so funny that T says she didn''t poop. maybe she just doesn''t like diaper changes. sorry to hear about the popcorn seed!!

burk the pumpkin patch sounds so much more fun than PTing!! we''ve taken B to like 5 pumpkin patches and he just loves loves loves them. i think he might actually like the pumpkin pie more than the actual pumpkins. when we get there, he always asks me if i''m going to get some pumpkin pie. haha. and yes i do get some and give him a few small bites.

lili haha, perfect flier....he''s pretty far from it. i''ve got to bribe him to get him to sit still. but he does sit still once we take off. he loves sitting on planes. the poor flight attendants had to practically kick us off cause he would not get off the plane. haha. how is J doing?

hope all the mommies are doing well.

Tacori--
Ugh, sorry about the popcorn seed.
That is just as bad as guava seed.
Ha, you''d think they''d be really uncomfortable w/ poo smooshed up on their behind.
I guess having a diaper change is worst than walking around w/ a lump in the diaper
since they''ll have to drop everything that they were doing.

Hehe....thinking about the next kid already?
2.gif

Puffy--
Ha, at least B is bribe-able.
I don''t think I can have J sit for more than 2 minutes.
I was actually surprised that she sat longer while on the potty though, but maybe because she''s got a magazine to peruse through
5.gif

How nice is that B''s plane obsession makes it easy to take him on plane ride.
That''s too funny that you guys actually got kicked off the plane.

J is doing good, thanks for asking.
She''s talking up a storm and is also going into her terrible 2s.
We''ve already had a few episodes w/ battle of the wills (hers and mine).
