Hi all,
I've picked up some great ideas for proposals (thanks!) but I'm strugging with one aspect - the ring.
Here's my dilemma: I'm fortunate to have a few old mine cut rings of good size in the family. I've gotten permission to use one but after a general discussion with my intended, it's clear that she'd probably not be comfortable wearing any of them on a regular basis due to their monetary value. But she's also the type that would really value the sentimentality of a family stone.
I've also considered getting a new ring - I like the fire of modern brilliant cuts, and could make sure it's something she'd be comfortable with.
I've thought doing both - proposing with the family ring, then providing the new ring for her to wear. But I'm not sure how/when to introduce the second. Or somehow proposing with both rings, but that seems even more difficult!
Help?![Smile2 :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
