I would scream and negotiate with BN to pay for the shipping and/or offer you a credit for the shipping. Send it back get it tightened or changed to a 6 prong head. The ring is pretty and if you want to keep the same design, deal with BN only. (In my opinon)
Good luck! It will be fixed!!
That's a really great observation about the polishing.
And very true!! I was also thinking Blue Nile would pay that shipping for you since it's only been a week.
After that I could understand your not wanting to have to ship it to them just for 6 month checks and the occasional tighten.
If you find a good Jeweler where you live, you can just start taking it there for 6 month cleaning and checks. Jewelers don't charge for that.
Even when you pay for tightening its the same (better Than) sending it and paying for shipping.
When you get it insured check out Jewelers Mutual. I think their policy's even cover repairs, and if something happens to the stone
they let you replace it where you where you choose.
A six prong head might be good for her. I don't know what kind of wearer she is or what work she does. It definately won't hurt. And many people just feel more peace of mind. Ask her too.
It will change the look a little so maybelook at some pics together?
