Proportions of halo?

Hi all, looking for some advice. Just got my cushion halo engagement ring back from jeweler. The halo was supposed to be very delicate
. It is thicker than we discussed and I was told the jeweler thought it would look better a little thicker to be more proportionate. Does that make sense? Wouldn't a delicate halo be better regardless the proportions, if that is what we were going for? I don't have exact mm but it is just the slightest bit smaller than the stones around the band. Any advice would be helpful. I'm worried it was a mistake. Thanks in advance.

Need photos to evaluate.

Sorry thought it was attached. Thanks so much!

Bottom line, if you don't like it and you believe there was an error, jeweler should re-do. I am a halo fan myself and do really like the look of the barely there halos, but I also appreciate larger ones. In your instance, your opinion matters most. :)) But I do think the halo looks more prominent than I would imagine if going for a delicate look. Have you seen jeweler accomplish such a look in another ring? If not, perhaps consider another vendor if possible?

Thank you ! I just don't know if I am being too picky, it's beautiful... And just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting a run around excuse. I have seen them accomplish this with a thinner halo...but it probably was only a smidge thinner.

Thank you for your time and advice!

I honestly think your jeweler has a great eye! The halo showcases the center stone, but certainly doesn't overpower the cushion & is perfectly proportioned imo to the cushion, the band & your lovely hand.

But although I would be delighted, your opinion matters more than mine ;))

This new picture of yours is a great view. I do think it looks lovely, but you still seem hesitant. I'm not sure if that is just ring nerves (I've had them, too, so I know what they are like!) or something more considerable. Again, you have to ultimately decide. It does really look very nice though and the halo sets the stone off very well.

I think it looks gorgeous, very delicate and well proportioned. It doesn't read to me as over scaled or chunky at all. You need to be in love with it though. Were you expecting something more like the Tacori bloom type halo which is extremely delicate? It may just be a case of "ring nerves," and I've had those too, but if it's really bothering you, you need to talk to the jeweler. He/she should either be able to reassure you or redo the halo to your original specs. Best of luck!

IMHO, your ring is perfection and I like it better than the inspiration ring.

Thank you. Yes it could be a case of ring nerves I suppose! I am going to take your advise and wear it this week and enjoy it. I think maybe I am over analyzing after reading all of your comments. Thanks so much everyone.

You can't really see the halo setting in any of the pics posted. If you're talking about the size of the melee diamonds then that's a different story. I personally would like them to be smaller as they would meld into the center stone more. It's still quite lovely and at an arm's length away I'm sure that's what happens. What are the specs on your ring btw?

Yes, sorry newbie here. I am talking about the melee (stones around the center stone). We had discussed doing it very delicate, when it came back i was told the jeweler wanted it to be a touch thicker to be more proportionate. I was worried this was a excuse, because in my mind, thinner is better regardless, but I am certainly not a professional. I just wanted some opinions on if that was a cover up excuse or if proportions mattered with a halo, and thinner is not better?

Specs are 2.01, G color SI1
