Hi Everyone!

This question has been bugging me for a couple of days. When calling the toll-free phone number for WF, would it be considered poor manners to ask to speak to a specific associate?

(The story is that I've been emailing with one particular employee for a couple of weeks, but need to place my actual order by phone b/c there's going to be a bit of customization for the ring setting. Otherwise, I'd be happy to process everything online.)

Thanks for any advice!

No it's not rude at all. Most of these diamond sites have incredible customer service, and I'm sure they'll have no problem transferring you over.

It might be a better idea to ask the associate by email how to get in touch with him/her directly, most will give you that info I think. If not, ask that your associate call you whenever they get a chance, that way you get to speak directly with the one you want.

Tampabull is right on with great suggestions. I don't think anyone would be upset as per protocol to speak with the rep you are most comfortable! THey seem to be wonderful with customer service, and if you want to talk to someone specific, I'd just call up and ask to speak with "A" and if "A" wasn't there, email them and ask when would be a good time to contact, or give them your coordinates to contact you at a few key times.

Good luck - seems like you are pretty close to a purchase - woo hoo!!

Yes, it is normal to call the main number and ask for a specific sales person.

Yeah, I'm ready to order a ring for my tenth anniversary! It's the first time I've picked out my own jewelry, too - my husband usually surprises me. After spending hours and hours read things on Pricescope here, selecting a nice diamond for it doesn't feel stressful at all :)

Also: Thanks, everyone, for the feedback about asking to speak to a particular associate! I'm always nervous on the phone, so it really helps me to know in advance!

Exciting!!! Are you able to share any details or hints about what your new ring will look like??? not like we enjoy that kind of thing... :Up_to_something: :naughty: :Up_to_something:
