What you all don''t know is I''m basically using all of you to plan my wedding w/o having to hire a wedding planner

Please pick my colors! Or do I really need colors? This is where I am getting married http://www.olsenestates.com/winery/photo-gallery/ if you click on a pic you can scroll thru bigger pics. I feel like the interior of the winery is so gorgeous that I don''t want a bunch of decorations. I love the ice blue color but otherwise I''m so lost. Colors that are not an option are: Burgundy, yellow (I love but J doesn''t) or pink. Think of this as your community service for the year!

To be honest, one of my favorite color schemes for the wine country is plum and orange, or orange in general with an accent color. Don't really know why, but it is just a personal like.

Ice Blue reminds me of winter...

When is your wedding again?

ETA: n/m, just got the update about 9/18 in BIW!

9/18/10 and at that location it will still be pretty warm. I LOVE orange but I''m not sure about plum. Convincing my bridal party to wear orange could be interesting....although I just though of how to get it past the man...it''s HUNTER orange even though really it''s not.

I found a color scheme that I think ice blue would look really pretty with, and wouldn't look "winter".

I think Salmon with ice blue accents would be great. It looks like they might have the table cloths as ice blue which would look nice with a VERY vibrant flower color.

I have to agree with Meresal...the plum and orange would be lovely.

Do I have to have two colors? What color is plum? I''m not crazy about the salmon. I swear I''m missing the wedding planning hormone.

You definitely need more than one color. A main color and then usually one or two accent colors.

Here is a sample of plum and orange: (It won''t let me upload right now, one sec)

Plum dresses:

Deep orange floral:

OK I am loving those plum dresses and I have to admit anything in the "purple" family makes me gag. Would they carry orange flowers? Funny thing is a long time ago I imagined my daughter (flower girl) in an orange dress!

I think an orange flower girl dress would look perfect!!!

They don't have to carry all orange flowers. You could do something like this:

FYI: If you don't like the name "Plum", you can go with "Eggplant".

ETA: This floral arrangement would cover all 3 colors. Plum=Primary, Orange and Lime Green=Accent colors.

Mer - I''m loving it! I just found this pic with the BM''s in plum dress w/ orange pumps!

Wow, those colors are gorgeous!

WL-I think that plum will look great on me and I love the orange shoes...

Love the plum!! Plum with champagne and black would be gorg! Maybe that''s too wintery though? I love the plum and green idea too. I''m thinking of wine labels here...Olive green, orangey yellow, plum, champagne, dark blue.

I have to wear orange for a wedding I am in next October. She bride said any orange but pumpkin/tangerine/bright orange (well she really wanted burnt orange but has opened up to more options).

We went shopping on Saturday and found this dress: Jim Hjelm JH5956. I tried it on in the color shown (dragonfly) but I think I will get it in Papaya (the swatch is HORRIBLE. Its really a deeper orange than the peach shown with a secondary hue of gold). I LOVE IT! I could never have imagined wearing an orange dress and actually feeling like I''d want to wear it again.

Just wanted to say that wearing an orange dress isn''t the worst thing that could happen to a BM.

I do love all the plum/orange options Meresal is showing. Lovely!

Ok, WL, I hope you are ok with this... now that you have my creative juices flowing.

What if you did Plum BM dresses, with minimal orange bouquets and orange heels, then the goomsmen wore suits (I'm thinking tan, but you could still do regular black) with orange ties and orange bouts. Then you carry an all white bouquet with maybe orange and/or plum accents??

ETA: Or you and groom could do all white callas. You with all white bouquet, and him with white calla bout and white or orange tie (with white bout).

You''re in my head. I was just oogling over the tan suits w/ orange ties. J really likes the idea of tan suits so I think this is FABULOUS!

And FYI I''m still really thinking of that Jenny Yoo dress you suggested...anything else you want to plan for me?

Also, where did you find out the price of the dress is around $750? I don''t remember it being that high?

Here

http://www.jennyyoo.com/wedding_alternatives32.html

I''m hoping to find it on sale or a sample somewhere.

LOL. My bad. That is obvious.

I''ll keep searching the net for you, hopefully someone is trying to sell theirs.

Hi Winelover -

Your venue looks gorgeous! Definitely won''t need much in the way of decorations. I''m also loving the plum/orange suggestion. So lively and rich.

If you like the first dresses that were posted, they I believe that they are these dresses by Adrianna Papell. I found them when I was looking for bridesmaids dresses. They look really cute! Not too badly priced, either. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2962795?Category=&Search=True&SearchType=predictivesearch&keyword=adrianna+papell&origin=searchresults

The other day I also happened across this dress on the bcbg website and said I could totally picture it at a vineyard wedding. Not sure why, I guess it just seems to have such relaxed elegance... So I thought I''d post it, too, since from the above post I gather you''re still looking for a dress. Not sure if it''s your style, but a great bargain for a wedding dress!!

I''m still working on my colour scheme, too... (I''m a total flip-flopper! haha) It seems to be the hardest part for me to decide on!

Thank you so much for the links! I''m surprised how well priced that Adrianna Papell dress is! Just do like me, let everyone else make decisions for you. I''m so ill equipped to plan a wedding.

If you''re going for orange shoes, check out this thread from when we were all helping charbie find new orange shoes after the doggies ate hers a week before the wedding!

PS: Loving your venue, the plum/orange/tan concept...and calla lilies!!! EVERYWHERE!

Oh no I may have to buy this because I''m in love with it. Seriously, thanks for the link saster!!

Orange flowers are my fav! My other color was a dark blue (not quite a navy) that would be a nice choice if you're opposed to anything in the purple family, though I'll admit that plum is fantastic! The lime green accents in the bouquet are perfect too.

I have those orange shoes! Only in green!

haha I know! I love it, too... I''m thinking about getting it as my rehersal dinner dress, actually, since I changed my mind on purple bridesmaids dresses.

PS - did you see it comes in other colours? just saying.

No problem! Ya, I''m kind of the anti-bride; very ill equipped, as well. Not that I''m not excited to get married, I''m just not really good at all of this. Lots of ideas, no direction whatsoever! Thank god my mom is a mirror image of Martha Stewart... my wedding would be a scattered mess if she wasn''t around to reel me in haha

I love the plum and orange combo!

BTW, WL--your venue is going to be gorgeous! I can''t wait to see your wedding pictures!
