Hi there. Just bought my fiancee a ring, am puzzled, hoping you can all help out.
The jeweler has a great reputation, and came highly recemmended by two coworkers.
I bought a .78 E SI2, round brilliant, Polish/Symmetry both Excellent. Depth 60%. Table 63%. Culet none. Fluorescence none.
Have a copy of the GIA cert.
Looked at the stone at the shop. Minor inclusions, only visible with the loute (sp? ha ha).
Picked up the ring with platinum siz prong setting. Breathtaking. Sparkles like mad. A very niced stone.
I do not recall seeing any big black dots at any point in time. Gave the ring to my fiancee. We went away on vacation and a few days later we noticed a big black dot. It definitely looks like it is inside the stone. Could it have just appeared? Was it always there, and I missed it? It is NOTICEABLE. Not from top, but from the side. Is it maybe just dirt, and needs to be cleaned?
I''m going to the jeweler tomorrow. Just hoping for some feedback/advice from you seasoned vets.
Thanks!!!
