Problem with diamonds in new ring?!

Hi everyone. I’m new here and have a question I’m really hoping someone can help me with!

I just got engaged a week ago!…and, I’m worried there is something wrong with my ring :(

I did not help pick out the ring, do not know where it is from, or what it is… The first two days I had it, everything was shiny and looked fine.. Since then, I have noticed two of the stones on the top getting darker.. Sometimes, I even have to take a double take and I find myself checking it because it looks like the diamonds have fallen out…they are still there, they just look like they are turning dull and grey..

I haven’t asked anything about the ring because I honestly don’t care how much he spent or what the ct. is. I love the ring regardless, I just don’t want him to have spent a lot of money for a ring that should not have a problem like this – especially after only one week! And, he already had to contact them once because there is a little chip in the metal on the underside of my finger. Noticed that the first day…

Please help me! Maybe I’m freaking out about nothing, so any options would be wonderful. Thank you!!

Have you tried cleaning it yet? Warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush? From the second pictures you posted, I see the two diamonds that look milky/gray, but I think it would be best to rule out dirt first.

Pretty ring and congrats!

I would ask your jeweler to replace those two stones.

CMM87, this is what I recommend too. Pretty ring!

From the pictures, it looks as though there are some overall quality issues (with the diamonds and as you mentioned, the setting too). I think that your concerns about getting what he paid for are legitimate and I would speak with him about it. If you only want to accomplish the bare minimum, those two, gray stones need to be replaced.
Congrats on your engagement and your new ring:)

I know it is awkward to speak to fiance aboutt the ring but I agree with all the aboe that if after you clean it you still have cloudy stones I would suggest that you have the jeweler switch the out.
