Hi all! My best friend''s boyfriend contacted me regarding a engagement ring for his girlfriend. She wants princess cut but since I have been researching the heck out of Asscher''s, I do not know a thing about Princess Cut!! Here are a few I spotted on James Allen...we are trying to find a diamond for under 5,000.

Any of these grab your eyes...any I should try and get more info on?? He is trying to get this in a hurry (as in having it in his hand in two weeks...aghhhhhhhhhh)and I would really like to suggest getting it online...bigger or better diamond!!!

The 1st F VS1 and the E VS2 might be a possibility, ask JA for ASET images for these 2 if you are interested in them.
 
I don''t know too much about diamonds but The hubby and I bought ours from James Allen and, my diamond is gorgeous! You will b very happy with them! His Gf will love it!
 
Yes, the E-VS2 is the one that really caught my eye...

Do I need to request a Sarin scan to get the pavilion and crown height info, etc.??

What does it mean on the GIA report when it says "Pinpoints are not shown" in the comment section??

When the report mentions something "not shown" it is usually that the aspect of the diamond was noticed on inspection and grading under 10x magnification, but is not so apparent as to effect the grades and is not plotted on the inclusion map, so is only mentioned for the sake of completeness. The only time to be concerned is if the report indicated "grade based on ????? not shown" At VS clarity you will not be able to see it with the naked eye.

No worries about those comments.

The ASET image is enough.

Pinpoints are very small inclusions, should not be visible to the naked eye
 
I like the one SC posted but would also like to see ASETs for the two JAs he identified.

They are both different diamonds, these are both from the same vendor? I prefer the first image....

Can you post the photographs of each diamond too please?
 
yap. totally different stones. facet structure is totally different.

I don''t know enough about the details of diamonds so I''m sorry I can''t offer my opinion but I just wanted to say that your Best Friend is lucky to have a friend like you that cares enough to put in the effort that you are!! Lola, you are very sweet!! I feel very lucky to have a friend like her and know she would do the same for me. Since I have become overly obsessed with reading/finding Asschers, I was happy to help with a new search!

The diamond was actually purchased yesterday!!! I can hardly stand keeping this secret from her!!! SO ANXIOUS!!!

Diamond purchased yesterday...He was going to purchase the ring at a jewelry store but I had to say no cause I knew he could get a better diamond online!! I hate suggesting to not buy from the locals but the price cannot be beat!!! I suggested this diamond from JamesAllen, and I really think he came out with a much better diamond than what he would have got at the store....CANT WAIT TO SEE IT!!!!

As JA new spokesperson, I think they better give me a kickback for that sale yesterday!

I just stopped by and saw it on my lunch break!! Wowza...she is a beauty!!! Poor guy purchased the diamond with hopes of getting it set here in town...but when he stopped in at the jewelry store, the setting was more than they had originally said...Now he is sending it back to JamesAllen to be set...
