I''m going to preface my report with a disclaimer: I FORGOT MY CAMERA! I have no pics for y''all. I know, HUGE no-no!

I had the good fortune of being in Houston this past week for biz, and requested an appointment with the folks at Whiteflash. WOW, their operation is very impressive! I had first visited their offices exactly 2 years ago, and since then they''ve moved into a much bigger space. It was cool to see everything IRL: from the bench/jewlery setting area, to where they ship out all the gorgeous sparkies.

Then came the fun: viewing diamonds! I have a princess in their w-prong setting. It''s a lovely stone, with great light performance, but it''s not ideal. So my plan was to check out their ACA princesses as i''m starting to grease the wheels for an upgrade and will certainly go with an ACA or ES when that time comes.

I saw two 2ct ACA princess stones. Almost positive it was these:

And this x-factor:

My word, they were SPECTACULAR!! They were fiery, sparkly and looked like they were lit from within. As many of you know, Brian handpicks stones for the ACA lines. They have to fall within certain parameters for them to be deemed worthy of the ACA distinction. As since you can''t really judge a princess by it''s numbers alone, the guesswork for selecting a quality stone goes out the window.

Bottom line: if you''re in the market for a princess stone, please just save your time and check out these beauties. They''ll WOW you!

I also got a chance to check out their earring settings, as I''m planning to upgrade my pair in the next few months. It''s a tie between the 3-prong martini, and the half bezel (to match my pendant). More on that project later!

My experience was awesome. Visiting with Brian and meeting some of the WF folks was a treat. They certainly have a customer for life!

Oh how fun Chargergrrl!!! I bet you had a blast. Can't wait to see your new earrings. I love their princess cuts, from the pics that I have seen. What a fun visit you must have had!!! Thanks for sharing your experience with us!!

Sounds fantastic! How did the x-factor compare with the regular princess cuts? Were they all equally, spectacularly sparkly?

oh yes, the x-factor was just as sparkly as the princesses, but maybe not as fiery. IMHO the look was just a bit "softer", probably due to the clipped corners.

Excellent, thanks for the info!

Wow, what an experience. I think it would be so much fun to visit WF. I can''t wait to see how your projects develop chargergrl! How much bigger are you thinking of going on your earrings and e-ring stone?

ChargerGirl, I can''t imagine how lovely those PC stones were in person. I am so excited for you that you got to go visit WF.

You''ve got an F VS and an H SI... how was the color difference in the princesses? Obviously noticible side by side... but otherwise how was that H looks fantastic and for 10K in savings! HELLO!

My current e-ring is 1.4, and I would LOVE to get up to/around the 2ct mark. That project won''t happen anytime soon, though. I''ve just started the upgrade "talks" with hubby and it will take awhile!

What I will be able to do in the next 3 months is upgrade my studs! The parents gave me this pair (.50 tcw) for my big 3-0 a couple of years ago. They''re nice, but I really have a hankering for ideal (or as close as possible) ones, as well as a bit larger. I''m thinking around .80-.90 tcw. I''ll keep this current pair to hand down to a daughter, if I''m blessed with one!

Gypsy- I honestly couldn''t see a color difference between the F & H! My current stone is a G, and all three looked the same. So glad that I''m not color sensitive, as I would gladly take the H/SI and save that 10k!

I was able to see the slight difference in table, and symmetry (the patterns were a bit different).
