Princess diamond opinions

Hey everyone,

I was originally looking at round H&A stones for an e-ring, but apparently my gf prefers square stones so I''ve redirected my search to Princess cut stones, which I know very little about. I was curious what you think of this specific stone:

And if there are any other suggestions you might have for a 1ct''ish Princess, VS2/J color or better, in the $4000-4700 rangeish?

I do not like the ASET of that GOG stone, seems like there is quite a bit of leakage.

I like these 2 better.
GOG, 0.98ct I VS2, Bank wire price: $4104

WF ACA, 1.013ct J VVS2, Bank wire price: $3853

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the great information and all the suggestions, and wanted to let you know I ordered the ering today from WF!

This is the stone I chose:

I always wanna mention how great the customer service was not only from WF but also from GoG. I did quite a bit of "shopping" and both companies went above and beyond to make me comfortable, however I ended up choosing WF because I liked the value I got on the diamond I purchased.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, but I just had one more question.

Out of curiousity I decided to look at what James Allen had for princess cut diamonds, and it appears their prices are quite a bit lower than what I paid for the WF diamond. I''m fairly certain that the diamond I will receive from WF will be top notch, but I''m curious how much of a difference there is between what I got to something such as these:

They are very similar specs and the JA diamonds rank as ideal cuts, but are quite a bit cheaper than the WF diamond, is the light performance of the WF stone going to be better than these stones?

I guess I''m just looking for some confirmation that the purchase I made is a good one and that I''m getting good value for my money.

It depends on what you value more, the WF diamond will be stunning! For example, WF's upgrade policy differs to that of JA if you compare the two policies. WF supply ASET, Idealscope images, Sarin reports and this diamond has the AGS0 cut grade and is worthy of being an ACA Princess according to WF's strict standards. The JA diamonds in this case aren't branded AGS0 stones, and they don't supply ASET or Sarin to the best of my knowledge, although they will send Idealscope and photos on request, ASET is considered the most useful for fancy shapes. So it depends on you - if you want to save a bit and you are ok with the JA upgrade policy should that ever be a consideration, then look further at those stones, if not then go with the WF diamond.
