The search for the perfect princess stone continues! I was getting pretty overwhelmed and took some time off, but I''m looking again. I don''t think I''ll ever be a diamond "expert"

but I''ve got the gist down. Some questions: 1) Is it feasible for me to find a great stone, in the .9''ish ct range, on a budget of $3500? 2) The depth/table percentages seem so wide, and I know numbers don''t necessarily translate well for each stone. But what range of depth/table % should I be looking at if I am looking for maximum fire? Would appreciate any help, thank you!

To find a stone that has lots of life and fire, it is more than just depth and table precentages. It is a combination of the angles as well. Just the depth and table% will not tell you much about the stone. An easy way to shop is to find princess stones with AGS0 certs, although it might a bit cost more than GIA stones. However, those are guaranteed stunners.

It looks like for about $3.5K, you'll be able to find stones around 0.8ct that are G/H, VS2/SI1. I also would not recommend going any lower than that because princess cuts tend to show colour at the tips.

Is there anything you can recommend in that price? Something I could maybe base my searches off of.

superbcert has some, almost a carat that are ags0 around your price range, but they are I color. didn''t know if u wanted to go that low or not, but it at least gives u some option.

i picked up a .83 H vs2 whose measurments checked out from GOG for 2800....i think you could get close to .9 or maybe hit it. keep looking
