I recently had a ring passed down to me. It is a 1ctw 11 diamond princess cut in a channel setting.
I noticed that one of the diamonds protrude a little bit from the back. When I put it on and it if i scrape the inside against the top of my finger while putting it on, it leaves a small scratch. and if you look at it from a top view you can very SLIGHTLY maybe (1mm or less) see it protrude a little. once the ring is on though, you cant feel anything. the diamonds from the front are flush...
I was wondering... is this a hard fix for a jeweler? what are my options? If i get it fixed, how do i determine if its a quality channel setting.
thanks so much everyone.
