Princess Cut Diamonds

Are Round cut diamonds more expensive than Princess cut diamonds?

I used the "Pricescope your diamond" feature above to test. There''s a greater quantity of rounds available to compare, so to get what would seem to be a big enough (but not too big) sample, I needed to widen the search to "search all," and then narrowly arbitrarily selected 1.03, G, VS2, and found Princesses ranging from $2500 - $5800, and rounds ranging from $4700 to $7500.

So, generally, by comparison to weight at least, rounds are somewhat more.
