Princess Cut Diamonds, Need Help

Hello all, I decided to go through the internet to buy a diamond but stay with a local jewler to set the diamond. Would a 7.5k budget for the whole ring be good enough to buy a .9-1.5 Carat, D-H Color, IF - VSI Clarity, Ideal Cut diamond? I already know exactly which setting she wants and will most likely have to go the custom route to get it. Second of all, what are the best measurements for a Princess Cut?

I was hoping to stay at 5K for the diamond +/- a few hundred and using the rest of the budget on the setting. I am okay with going a little over on the setting since it will be from a B&M store and will likely use some interest free financing on it. Thank you for your suggestions, I was leaning towards buying from White Flash since I can buy directly from their in store inventory. Is there anything good/bad/indifferent I should know about whiteflash? Is there somebody better to buy from? My main concerns when buying the stone is the return policy, seeing it before I buy it and the vendor owning actual inventory.
