Hi everyone,

I am narrowing down my search for my engagement ring and me and my budget have decided that I''d rather go with a G colour with a few inclusions. I''m most interested in the ring looking beautiful and my GF loving it and I know she won''t be looking at under a Loupe.

Can you please have a look at these 2 and give me your opinions (I need all the help I can get!)

Thanks,

Welcome to Pricescope!

These are both beautifully cut, the next step would be to ask WF if these diamonds match your definition of eyeclean, then they can advise you which might be best. But they are both beauties, if eyeclean I don''t think you could go wrong with either!

i like the 2nd stone better based on the aset pics. seems to have a bit more sparkle

Yes, the 2nd one is the one I''m more drawn to as well, but they both look beautiful to my eye. I''m planning on getting it set in the 4 prong Tiffany style ring at WF.

Images are useful, but they aren't a substitute for an expert eye advising you, so I would ask Brian or one of the other experts at WF to advise you as to which diamond has the most ' flair' and therefore be the best choice for you - they are both hand picked and are fabulous cuts. If you are most drawn to the second one then keep that as your first choice, but see what WF say as to whether it is eyeclean and how it compares to the other diamond.

I''m still learning about this too, so don''t take my advice as gospel . . . but, for what it''s worth, I agree that the second one is a little better. Definitely determine if they''re eye clean, though!

Yeah thanks everyone.

Keep those opinions coming......

I am in discussion with WF and they have told me that both are eye clean from 3-5 & 8-10 inches from top.

to me the 2nd stone also has a larger table top so it should appear slightly larger. not sure if the diff can be seen

Your assessment is good. While the second ASET has slightly more intense light return (red) it’s very slight at this high magnification. In two 5mm objects of such quality, the difference will not be visibly discernible. Based on my AGS0 princess cut experience both should have wonderful performance.
