Princess Cut Advice

Hi all,

Found a couple of really nice Princess Cuts, and contrary to my other posts I'm now looking to buy online. Here are the two links below. (one of them is already reserved by me ).

Dilemma: one is much larger, but the other is right at the top of our budget. I'd like some advice on what some of the other stats such as table and angles etc mean. Are ones better on one than another? Also if someone could help interpret the diamXray image I would truly be greatful. We're looking for a stone with great light performance, so this will greatly help.

Same here. Both are beautiful and have great ASETs, but I prefer the faceting, chevron size, and contrast pattern of that one.

Measurements for face-up size seem about right, 5.4 is typical, I think.

I think they are fine. If they weren't, the ASET wouldn't be so amazing! It was cut for performance.

I am looking at the 1.01 again. I really like the higher crown and smaller table. It will definitely have a unique beauty. Again, the faceting is just lovely.

Please ask them to make a video for you. The 1.01 G VS2 is significantly smaller looking.

Hey guys, just a quick post to tell you all that I purchased the 1.01 today! Although we really wanted the bigger size it was a little over budget. GOG took some photos for us, which gave us a good comparison. The 1.2 was definitely bigger and whiter. The facets on the 1.01 seemed larger or at least clearer, not sure if that's the correct term. GOG said they are both eye clean, but my girlfriend has hawk eyes do I still didn't want to risk the SI1.

Just waiting for the wire transfer to clear (I'm in Canada) and for the FedEx to ship out.

We are so excited to see it in the flesh, it sounds like a really great stone.

Thanks for all of the reassuring posts everyone, and for the help choosing between these two excellent stones.

The diamond arrived today (1.01ct) and I think it's safe to say that it's amazing. So clear and sparkly. I looked at it with the loupe provided by GOG and couldn't see any trace of the inclusions at all. After about 15 minutes of looking, my eyes were hurting...at that point I could see something super feint when I moved the stone but I can't say for sure that it wasn't my eyes deceiving me.

In fact the only thing that occurred to me was... WOW this diamond is so nice...I wonder if it's real? But those thoughts quickly subsided because I knew that I bought it from one of the most reputable online retailers.
