princess choices

I am looking at 2 GIA princess cut stones.
1.51ct
table 72
depth 77
med-thick girdle
polish&symm VG
H/SI1
has 3 small crystals on report with comment of additional clouds and surface graining not shown.

1.53ct
table 79
depth 68.9
slightly thk-thk girdle
polish VG
symm G
H/SI1
only additional comment is additional clouds not shown
dealer says "eyeclean"
a feather is on the outside of the table near a corner

the question is, are either of these worth anything?
or should i just hold out for a VS stone
the prices are near 7000
can someone give me some possibilities on light return or whether i am wasting my time and move on? my budget is around 7k+or-

i must say sorry but pass on those stones. the depth is too much for the first stone. also, the table on the second one is not that great either. i suggest you check out gemappraiser.com and look at the cut chart for princess stones. it will at least help you weed out bad stones, but as i have learned on this forum, numbers aren't the only thing, you have to see it in person. anyway, check it out and have fun looking around!

there has been many posts here lately about princess stones, i suggest running a search string and read some of those as im not an expert

Both stones have some sort of a problem with the depth%,the first one is too thick, it means that the stone will look a bit smaller,Second stone the depth is on the shallow side adding a large table ,it might look like a fisheye.
If these were my only choices

, I'd pick # 2,althoughit's on the spready side It might have a bigeer effect than it's actual size.

Shop the web and look for dpeth's and table's in the low 70's.
