Just wondering if anyone has, or has seen a ring with a princess centre and pear-shaped side stones?
It was mentioned to me in a passing conversation with my gf today, and although I have a different style in mind, be interested in seeing what it would actually look like?
I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of princesses...BUT....Leon Mege has one on his site set with half moons that I drool over all the time. Here is the link...
The first ring I fell in love with was a princess with pear sides. It was in a DeBeers ad on the back of a magazine...10 years ago.
I would look at the Vatche three stone with pear sides and ask a Vatche dealer to order one for a princess center. Vatche would make the change in the basket for the center and it would be beautiful. Vatches works with Palladium now so it should be priced well. Leon, of course, does amazing three stones as well... with platinum, and he sources sides for you.
Here's a pic of one with color. I like the proportions of this one... the pears set off the princess instead of competing with it.
I was about to say "nah, I''m not a fan"...then I saw Gypsy''s pic, and it looks really nice!
I like them in the proportion that Gypsy suggested, and the colored stones are really nice. I don''t think I would like it as much if the pears were diamonds. For a princess, I prefer a Harry Winston type setting with tapered baguettes, but these ruby pears are a nice alternative.
Oh, thats pretty...I couldnt picture it at first but that "all diamond" one is right up my alley. I have a pear ering (baguette
side stones). Gotta love those pears!
