Here are images for .91 carat I VS1 princess. I'm intending to have these set in white gold studs for earrings. The matching stone hasn't come in yet. I've never bought a princess before so any feedback on how this looks is appreciated!

Mainly focused on cut and sparkle since my fiancee has a Whiteflash ACA for her e-ring.

I think they're pretty good - compare them to WF and BGD 'ideal' Princess cut listings to see ASETs that are as good as they come, AIUI!

I also think the images look pretty good. Lots of red/green. Limited white/gray/black depending on the image.

Images for the second stone are in. I don't like this one as much as the first. Seems to have more table leakage and the one inclusion at 10 o'clock that looks like a thread? If that is an inclusion. The contrast pattern also seems less symmetrical than the first one. Thoughts?GIA 7218644205-ASET black (Fancy)-01.jpg GIA 7218644205-ASET white-01.jpg GIA 7218644205-IdealScope-01.jpg GIA 7218644205-Officelight black-01.jpg GIA 7218644205-Officelight Gray-01.jpg

I'd agree that it looks less symmetrical and seems to have a bit more leakage under the table.

Is it perhaps better round the edge of the stone to your eyes? (I'm not sure.)

My gut feeling is that the first might be a stronger performer, even taking into account that the whole centre area is red on ASET, which could potentially make it a bit all-on/all-off??

It would be good if they can shoot a video of each or both together, although I appreciate that creates more work for them!

Thanks for the feedback...good point on the all red ASET on the 1st one. Do you think that "inclusion" at 10 o'clock is an inclusion or is it just a fiber?

Any other thoughts out there?

#1 is better than #2. If these are for earring, I'm not sure #2 is bad enough for me to reject given the size. One thing I can't tell on my little phone is are the facet patterns the same? The real issue is more if they will perform similarly or if one will look "off" compared to the other. On two ears is less obvious than as side stones, but it might drive a PS member batty.

Does this side by side help with determining if the facet patterns are the same? I can't really tell.

I think I can see what you are referring to at 10 o'clock - you can ask the vendor to confirm what it is and whether it is eye-clean :)

Don't forget that it will be smaller than a human hair when it is on your finger, though! lol

Do both stones have the same number of chevrons on the pavilion? That can change the look quite a bit between princesses.

Still on tiny phone. @Karl_K. Do you see the same faceting on these two? I keep finding less on #2, but phone screen small.

I think they are 4 and 3 but it is hard to tell for sure.
Given the size and availability they are close enough for earrings.
A PSer might see a difference but normal people would not likely notice.
Expecting a perfect match at that size is not entirely realistic.
All of that is just my opinion of course.

To the OP..
Ask about being eye-clean and an opinion on how well the match up together to the eye.
I dont think that feather is going to be eye visible but ask.
