I have a ring I want to sell but have no idea how to price it. I haven''t had it appraised but do have a certificate of valuation. Could somebody please give me a ballpark price range based on the valuation description?
Here it is: Ladies 14K yellow gold bridal set.
1 1/2 ct total weight with 3/4 ct solitare round
in center & 3/4 ct bagets on each side with
baget band.
Appr. color - H - I
Appr. clarity - VS2 SI1

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

3/4 carat diamonds will sell around $900 to $1100 at best in a person to person sale. There are some websites that do allow sales of preowned rings.

A valuation is meaningless. It can say anything the seller wants it to say. You should probably get an independent appraisal for replacement value in today''s market. Nothing inflated, just actual replacement value. You can also go online and make up a ring exactly to the basic specs of what you have and see what it costs. You''d be luck to get half the actual purchase price (not the valuation, which I''m assuming is an inflated price the seller gave you). You might send a photo to Pearlman''s and see if they''ll consign it.
