We have a C de Cartier GM with diamonds ring in the family. It can't be resized and it doesn't fit me or my mom or sister and due to the design it cannot be resized.

I've been looking for comps and prices are all over the place.... 3800 - 1800$ basically....
It has the original certificate.
Anyone tipps in how to price it if we decide to sell? IMG-20201218-WA0022.jpg

No Cartier aficionados at all?

Maybe you could post a photo of the certificate? I have not seen that style with the fluted band so any information would be helpful--size, 18K?, diamond weight, etc.
Is it tricolor with 6 'bands'?

It's lovely. You can sell or consign through Lang in SF. They are very high-integrity and I think it suits their clientele. They seem more focused on quality than name (unless it's vintage or older); I do not see any of the contemporary branded gold/enamel "fashion" jewelry (Tiffany, Cartier, VCA, etc.) but this is pretty cool, imo.

Depending upon your family's finances and the sentimental value, it will fit some finger on someone some day... =)2

Thanks @Elizabeth35
The certificate is in mom's bank vault. It should de a Cartier size 50 and have 0.26 CTW of diamonds it's 18 k tricolour .

It's the "C de Cartier" GM ring.

If we'd list it the certificate would be included.

Thanks @LilAlex ! I'm in Europe, so Lang isn't practical. My sister is going to ask her local jeweler who is highband and with whom she has a long standing relationship when she gets home.

We a think it'll we don't get much we'll rather keep the ring and hope one of my girls will have small fingers

I've seen them advertised for 3.5 k and evidently for that we'd sell and put the money towards something we'd wear. I already told mom & sis that's unrealistic and we'd have to look at the sold items prices.

Those seemed to be around the 1.7-2 k mark, mostly

These eBay listings feature Cartier double C diamond rings which look identical to yours:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cartier-18...193332?hash=item289cca4474:g:ZJEAAOSwcnRfWRWM

These are two separate rings listed by the same eBay vendor, signed_baubles. I have no idea whether the vendor is reputable nor the authenticity of the rings...

Thanks @marymm!! It seems they generally actually sell around the 1.7-2 k mark.

If I have to pay any fees whatsoever (consignment of any sorts ) the usually take 20-30%... Plus insured shipping of around 100 € (to consignment and then seller ), we'll have around 1 k to split between us, so we'd rather keep the ring.

Thanks everyone... I'll talk it over with my family!
