Anyone have guidance on a price range of 1.7, F, SI1, thats a 000 cut. In a previous post I mention looking at a 1.7, G, SI1, Very Good Cut - and wanted to inquire if the price jump I am seeing is in line with your thoughts. B&M Retailer so I know I am not getting the best deal - but currently its where I am comfortable shoppin.

Also, I am being shown diamonds that have GIA certs, but am being told of cuts such as 000, 0, or 2. From looking at posts I thought these were AGS ratings (and that GIA was not EX, VG, G....). Can a diamond have a GIA cert and AGS cut rating?

No. Only if the diamond has certs from both GIA and AGS. Someone could say it would fall into one of those categories though. But I''d stick with AGS0 personally (AGS000 is another term that is often interchanged with AGS0).

https://www.pricescope.com/RepRange.asp?shp=8&rng=8 Price comparison, you would want to use this. But it is just a range, in this case from 1.5-1.99ct. Average is around 5100 USD/ct.

Using the next size range, average price for 2-3cts, is at 6200 USD/ct. So that should be the upper limit of what you would have to pay for.

No, GIA certs do not use AGS cut rating.

EDT:

Check out what are the results of those prices, apparently all are EGL. So take it with a tablespoon of salt... :P
