Is there a post somewhere that defines pricescope slang? If not, should one be started?

ex)

ps = pricescope
ering = engagment ring
wring / wband = wedding ring / wedding band
BF = boyfriend
bff = best friend forever
SO = significant other
ERD = Engagement Rings Direct (vendor)
GOG = Good Old Gold (vendor)
EC = emerald cut
H&A = Hearts and Arrows
CA = crown angle
PA = pavillion angle
AGS = American Gem Society
GIA = Gemological Institute of America
MWM = Mark Morrell (designer/jewellry maker)

haha :) was just thinking about this myself :)

here''s my addition:

FI = fiance (i think)
HCA = Holloway Cut Adviser
WF = Whiteflash (.com)
RB = Round Brilliant

Classic Forum Acronyms:
IIRC: If I Recall Correctly
WRT: With Regards To
OTOH: On The Other Hand
AFAIK: As far as I Know
YMMV: Your Mileage May Vary
TLA: Three Letter Acronym

ACA = A Cut Above (H&A brand at WF)
HOF = Hearts on Fire (H&A brand sold at B&M stores)
B&M = Brick & Mortar
SA = Sales Associate

DH-darling husband (right?)
IMO-in my opinion
LM-Leon Mege
FF-future fiance
WG-white gold
YG-yellow gold
RHR-right hand ring

I can''t think of anymore right now...

HTH, hope this helps
TIA Thanks in advance
JMHO Just my humble opinion

DD Dear daughter
DH Dear husband
FWIW, For what it's worth

One more:

IRL-in real life

KWIM--Know what I mean

DF = Dear Fiance
PITA= Pain in the BEEP
BTW = by the way
ETA: Edited to Add
BF= Boyfriend

Lemon Pie= can''t we all just get along?
MOMMY! = Can''t we all just get along?

Some of the abbreviations given are not Pricescope slang as they are used on multiple boards on the internet. The Pricescope ones I would say are like LM, MWM for designer jewellers, IS Idealscope, diamond abbreviations etc.

Thanks for the refresher course :-) . I''ve seen one other that I can''t figure out- ITA??? Help...

ITA=I totally agree

TIA 4 ur advise.

WF has an H&A ACA with IS, ASET and Sarin on PS that my FIL likes for a MWM WG RHR for his SO. JA has a stone with better CA/PA according to HCA and AGA that OGI calls AGS-0 but it only has a GIA DQR with M-TK girdle and M blue FL. It’s XXX

FWIW, the SA at the B&M says JA is really DCD and that he should only buy AGS. AFAIK he’s going to LI NY to see GoG to get a BS and a DC.

I think he should buy a BMW instead. KWIM?

AGS - American Gem Society

DQR = Diamond Quality Report (It's what AGS calls their standard grading report instead of 'certificate')
DQD = Diamond Quality Document (the AGS report with cut grade information on it)

eta: GIA actually calls theirs a Diamond Grading Report or a Diamond Dossier so there's really no such thing as a GIA DQR.
