Hey everyone, my first post here and been looking for a diamond that fits my price range (between $8k-$9k for diamond alone). I've been doing a lot of research on everything about the characteristics of a diamond but still having problems on what I should settle for. I'm okay with a VS1 or VS2, F or G (but if i go F it takes me over $9k), and prefer the 3EXs.

Which of the 5 below is giving me the best value for my money? I might have more later but for now I'd like to get people's (not the jewelers I'm dealing with) their unbiased opinion.

The above posters were asking to see copies of the GIA reports because information is missing.

The crown angle and pavilion angle are very important to determine how well the diamond is cut.

Just plug in the numbers. Anything under a rating of 2 is worth considering further.

You can use the HCA to do an initial evaluation of the stone. Stick with stones that score 2 or under. A lower number is not
better than a higher number (.5 not better than .9).

thanks ruby and tyty. so the fact that option 1 has a strong blue fluorescent and option 5 no fluorescent doesn't really make a difference? i know this is a debatable topic, some like fluorescence while some don't. i haven't seen option 1 in person because it came from an online vendor but the vendor assured me that the fluorescence doesn't affect the diamond in any way (pic attached).

oh, all these diamonds are for round stones, not sure if that matters.

i'll post the other specs for the middle 3 diamonds tomorrow. i need to get in touch with those jewelers.

I got the additional info for option 2.

Girdle: Thick
Depth: 62.7%
Table: 60%
Crown Angle: 33.5°
Pavilion Angle: 42°

I punched those values in the HCA tool and wow not a very good grade, the worst out of the 3 I have info for.

So to recap based on the specs and prices I have listed so far does option 1 seem like it's the best bang for the price even though it's the only one with a strong blue fluorescence?

One of the diamond experts will answer further, but flourescence, per se, is not a bad thing. Some people actually like it. It could only be a problem in a few cases where it causes the diamond to look oily or milky.

The HCA is only a rejection tool - it eliminates the really bad off cut diamonds. The experts are now going to advise you to get a sarin picture of this diamond which will determine if it is of the finest of cuts which will really ensure that your diamond will pop with premium light, fire, and scintillation.
